Smithy Raid

Who: Smithy Workers, Brave Vesperia, Passing Do-Gooders?
What: A raid for weapons is ordered by Korras Blake.
When: 29th, thirty minutes after the farm is attacked.
Where: The smithy
Summary: When you need to get militant, you need weapons. Guess who has them?
Rating: Violent??

[It seemed like a somewhat peaceful morning, even with all the extra refugees. But things take a turn for the worse when a few individuals enter in the smithy. Refugees. They're clever about it, too. First one enters, then another a few minutes later, until there's a good eight of them inside. This is enough to get the smithy workers and whoever else may be guarding the place just a tad uneasy. But as the last one enters, he locks the door behind him and kills the lights.

That's when all hell breaks loose. Sokka manages to make a short call for help on the journals before reaching for his sword to defend himself.]

((ooc: Anyone if free to join in, but please note that we have an outcome planned. That the NPCs succeed and manage to defeat the smithy workers and the guards. So while you're welcome to join, be aware that these eight NPCs are extremely skilled combatants that will be able to take down whoever is on guard. So don't tag in unless you're cool with that!

Also we can use this post to make note of our NPCs, unless we're reusing particular ones.))

With things looking mostly peaceful in the village, when Raven heard about the attack in the farmlands the first thing she thought to do was go there and help. That was their food supply in this emergency, one they were sharing. Attacking it was stupid.

When Yuri told her about the attack on the smithy, not too long after? She started to smell a rat. Extra words were never her strong point, though; she just picked him up and started flying.

She sets him down close enough to the smithy that he'll have time to get ready, landing and transforming back. There's no way she'd fit in there as a phoenix. Looking over at Yuri again, Raven draws her sword and moves for the door, with every intention to throw it open and cast some light on the situation inside.

After landing and regaining his bearings, Yuri is very quick to unsheathe his sword. It's around that time when Raven changes back, although for him, that does nothing but confirm 100% that it was indeed her that whole time. Maybe she was something like an Entelexeia ...

... Well, that wasn't important right now. As soon as she looks over at him and moves for the door, he's right there with her, ready to help her knock it open if she needs the assistance.

A few seconds' listening is more than enough. It's bad in there. Raven imagines the door is locked, a smart attacker would lock the stupid door, and trying anything against the lock is also stupid.

Of course, when you carry a key, none of that matters. She manages to take enough care to try to unlock it silently. Throwing it open makes enough noise to counter the effort.

With light coming in through the door, it's easy to see the chaos and its three-second interruption. The Kin'corrans in the mess are formidable. They've got weapons. Time to get serious.

Deep down, Yuri was slightly disappointed that getting the door open was a matter of sticking a key in a lock, rather than breaking it down and potentially startling the enemy by it. Then again, it'd just be something that'd need fixing afterward if they did that. What they were about to head into would be enough of a pain without that needing to be added on.

With the door open, and the chaos inside being obvious, Yuri immediately dashes into the fray. He'll look for anyone who might've gotten trapped in this mess while he attempts to hold these guys off, but for now, he's prioritizing getting these Kin'corrans out of this place.

... Damn, though. The last thing these guys looked like were pushovers. This wasn't going to be easy.

Rock Lee had been scanning the journals for any signs of emergency after going on a run through the village when he saw Sokka's message. He made a beeline for the smithy. Ha arrived shortly after Raven and Yuri, so he slipped through the now unlocked door. He cautiously entered the darkness and assumed a fighting pose. Lee may be a show-off, but he's also a ninja. He tries to discreetly scan his immediate surroundings for his first opponent.

In her corner of the smithy, Raven is facing down a muscular half-orc woman wielding a large sword. It's obvious the warrior is more skilled and stronger than Raven, outmatching her pretty easily. All of Raven's energy is going into blocking the sword swings; heaven forbid the woman pick up a large hammer or a spear instead.

He quickly spots the figure in distress and is keen to help. Lee has the advantage of speed. So he rushes forward to deliver a flying kick towards the half-orc's head. He makes the mistake of calling out "Konoha Whirlwind!" before making contact; the half-orc is able to quickly react by raising an arm to block his leg. Lee bounces back onto the ground in a fighting pose.

Somewhat impressive, fighting weaponless in human form. Raven gets herself steady and picks up a sword that doesn't belong to her - it's too heavy. That can't matter right now, and she takes a two-handed swing at the half-orc...and all it seems to do is irritate her.

They are taking this place by force and right now it feels like there isn't much that can be done to stop them. Especially since the Kin'corran has closed one fist around a battle hammer. The only decision she has to make now is whether to go for Raven or Lee first.
