For himself, Shikamaru was crouched anyways, in his typical position for using the Shadow Imitiation jutsu. The bullets fly over his head, him not giving them so much as a cursory look, intensely focused on the task at hand. (The patients and staff with them naturally won't be so calm).
Two seconds later the shots stop. They're followed by the panicked and confused shots of the men next door, who've lost the ability to move. Shikamaru stands, taking out the sedatives he came armed with, though stops short to turn back around.]
Aa... [Right, the patients are freaking now.] The situation is under control now. Let me handle this, and we'll be on our way.
