A Game of Thorns
Who: Residents of House 6 and anyone who wants to find an excuse to be involved 8|a
What: Inconvenient Fairy Tale Side Effect #19
When: 5th September
Where: House 6
Summary: On day three of The Sleeping Navigator, the thorns finally arrive. Hope the house occupants didn't want to leave any time soon...
Rating: PG for swearing and violence against plant life?
[So thorns aren't really meant to grow that fast, right? It takes all of fifteen seconds for them to surge from the grass surrounds and wrap the house with a thick and impenetrable wall of spiky death.
...well, spiky inconvenience, anyway. Watch out, because they might make a few attempts to sneak into the house, too, and that could really mess with the paintwork. Violence against thorns is encouraged, but be careful: try cutting the main wall down and they'll spring back twice as thick a moment later, and those thorns are painful.
Meanwhile, Nami's dreaming of the best mikan cocktail ever made served up on top of her own personal mountain of gold. What's that? Wake up, now? Please.]
((Whether you're a resident of house 6, a visitor at house 6, or just passing by and want to take pictures, this log is open to you. |D))

Katara reaches out a hand to touch the glass...]

Yep. Those thorns are now scouring the glass. O.O]
Katara, you'd better step away. That window might not last much longer. [Stating the very obvious but -crackcrack- maybe he can be excused?] We should move her to a safer room, anyway.

It looks like they're trying to get inside.
[She unfastens her waterskin.]

[Backstep, backstep. Picking up sword now and pressing thumb against the tsuba and ka-chink. Stepping forward to Nami's beside.]
Let's take her and go. This is no longer a good place for her.
no subject
Try and get through THAT.]
Yeah, let's take her into the living room.

[That'll hold them. For now.
But in the meantime, Law is just going to slide his sword through a loop sewn on the back of his shirt for sword carrying purposes, and then gather the sleeping navigator in his arms. If there are IVs or anything else attached to Nami? He'll let Katara take care of them.
You're not going to snuggle into him while he carries you out, Nami, right? That might make things a touch ackward.]

What you mean I have to post on my own logNo active snuggling. The sleeping navigator does subconsciously register the shift in her bedding arrangements, though, curling ever so slightly into Law's arms for comfort's sake.]no subject

Katara, please shut and ice over that door as well. [Let's create an extra barrier here.] It'll give us some time to figure out what the hell is going on here.
no subject
I'll take care of it.
[And she moves to do so.]

[Now how much time have they bought?
Excuse him, thinking out loud here.]
Now, this is obviously the work of the Malnosso. Almost certainly connected to Miss Nami's unnatural sleep. But thorns? Why thorns of all things? I don't get it.
[Really someone needs to start reading bedtime stories to Elicia and then he would.]

It reminds me of one of the experiments.

[She frowned, thinking of Hiccup and Zuko.]
Remember when the Item Shop was overgrown with thorns for a little while? It didn't last too long, but...
[It was most of that day.]

So all of this is based on a story. Alright. Perhaps we should ask around to see if anyone knows the solution to a tale such as this.
