Who: spike (
deadpoet) & buffy (
herotypical)
What: tracking shift hunters!
When: this weekend. :|
Where: sea port + surrounding forest
Summary: a vampire and a slayer go on a mission together. one tries to escape. the other is collateral damage.
Rating: pg for language?
She'd as good as made a deal not to feel. Wasn't that why she was here? To do right by William the Bloody and put the final nail in his coffin -- once and for all. Tell him that he'd better bury his infatuation because it was interfering with her current happiness. And Buffy Sumers found that she was very happy indeed with being happy. It was a nice thing to be.
For what felt like the hundredth time, she slogged through a clumsy mental rehearsal of what she would have to tell the vampire. I really think this could be a forever-thing; stop messing it up. No -- never. Was there any way to do this and grant him his pride? Did she even owe him that much?
Or was she just upset because she couldn't make Jack understand, either.
The Slayer kicked her booted heel into the split maw of yet another hunter, tearing her wicked scythe blade free from the creature's bloodied mouth. She poured her frustrations into the violence and, predictably, she'd therefore been on top form. This was the second day of their mission and she was just now hitting her stride. The girl had hours of bloodiness left in her yet.
