[Walter found himself in something of a daze after reading over the flashcard next to his bed. None of the "facts" seemed quite believable simply because of the way the way the card read, so he sat there contemplating for a long time.

Well, at least he knew he was naturally suspicious. Or something like that.

Eventually, he wanders out of the house to scope out his surroundings. Despite not quite believing the card, he gravitates towards the sound of flowing water anyway, and ends up sitting by the river just outside the village quite a bit. It's peaceful, it's somehow familiar, and he has time to think. About what, he does not really have a clue.

Besides the riverside, he goes to the plaza where there is a large fountain. Again, the water is comforting, and he can watch people passing by to see if any of them strike him as familiar.]
