Geordie may not have had the heart, but Amelia sure as hell did after being hit across the face. Something was very wrong, and if it drove Jilly to paint? Then that was the last thing Amelia was going to let her do.
She was ready this time, and when Geordie dropped Jilly's hands Amelia gripped the woman's arm, twisting it behind her back.
"I don't want to hurt you." Because this was something beyond Jilly, otherwise she never would've lashed out like that. But Amelia wouldn't let the woman go, either, and she held on as tightly as she had to so Jilly couldn't break free.
"I'm fine. Get your journal." Amelia didn't look at Geordie even as she spoke to him, keeping her focus on Jilly. "We need to find someone to try and get her calmed down."
