[It turns out that the cavalry arrived just in time.
Teddy had been completely distracted when it happened earlier. Zombies banging at the doors and the windows, him holding a tied up Billy in one arm, the injured one, and the broken spear he'd used on the second day he managed to find in the other. He was backing up, trying to figure out how to get them out of there, when Billy suddenly growled in a way that almost made Teddy mistake it for the zombies outside, twisted in his grip and grabbed for the one thing that would catch Teddy off-guard: his injured wrist.
The sprain had became worse due to him using it so much, and thus pain exploded when Billy yanked the wrist to one side and sank his teeth into Teddy's upper arm, making Teddy scream.
Shit. Shit on so many levels. Billy's completely turned, Teddy's sure he heard and felt a crack in his wrist, and now he's bitten. And they're surrounded.
Thankfully, it didn't take long to handle the situation with Billy. He grabbed Billy's hair, pulled him away from his arm and, though he tried to be gentle and muttered an apology under his breath, he still shut his eyes and hit Billy's head against the floor so hard that it knocked him unconscious. Teddy kept his eyes shut and cringed for a moment; he hated to do that. He never wanted to hurt Billy, never in his life, and now...
There wasn't much time to think about that as Teddy heard a splintering sound and saw zombies claw their way inside. He couldn't help thinking that this was probably it; there was no real way out, and now the zombies were making their way inside. But hell if he'd go down without fighting, especially with Billy still there.
He'd pulled Billy to the closet in the middle of the house and locked the door, then made sure to keep close to it as he turned to face the zombies, panting from the pain and exhaustion, knowing this might be his last fight for a while.
But he only gets to take down two when one of the moltov cocktails goes off near the house, sending the zombies scrambling towards one side and towards the door. Another goes off, and they fully leave, although a few stay long enough to give Teddy trouble and make him beat them down. Never killing them, though. Just rattling them enough to shove them out the door or knocking them out.
And they're gone. And Teddy finds himself leaning his back against the wall close to the closet and sliding down, eyes wide and staring ahead, unable to really believe that he's actually okay. Well, okay enough to be considered alive.
That's how Rogue and the rest will find him: chest heaving from exhaustion, dried blood on his temple and soaking his shoulder, his right wrist twisted and swollen in a way that makes it obviously broken, and his right upper arm still bleeding while Teddy holds the broken spear tightly in the other. He might not respond to an initial call; he's still reeling in all that just happened.]
