Hmm... well I do have a few water balloons if you'd like. I think you're a lot better at this than I am. If it were throwing lightning around, I'm the one you'd want but... I'm not that good with this kind of thing.

[He shifts position, tacitly inviting her to join him.]

You have lightning magic?

Oh good... I'm glad somebody can make use of them.

[She takes a seat next to him to take a look to see if she can spot any incoming pirates.]

And yes! I'm pretty good with my lightning magic...

[The best in her world actually, but she doesn't want to brag.]

[Don adds Ilyana's water balloons to his own stockpile.]

You're - not going to use it today, are you?

[ilyana]

Well if you mean my lightning magic no... I don't want anyone getting seriously hurt. Some of my friends are on the other team and... I've seen enough of real war.

[Ilyana can't quite look Donatello in the eyes when she says this.]

[So has he. Don compartmentalizes well enough (some would say too much) that a dodgeball game doesn't bother him at all, but he doesn't fault such a young girl for not being able to handle things that way.]

[He'll try to make the conversation lighter.]

How many pirates have you soaked today?

[ilyana]

[That did bring back a bit more of a smile to Ilyana's face.]

Well to be honest... only one, and that was the friend I'd told you about. But... maybe I'll get lucky. What about you?

Four and counting. [He offers Ilyana one of the balloons.] Next one is yours.

[ilyana]

You... think I can actually hit? [Ilyana takes the balloon in her hands a bit nervously. Her last four attempts had landed short of their mark.]

Of course. I'll help you.

[ilyana]

Really? But... how are you going to do that?

[i_speak_softly]

I'm a ninja.

[And therefore capable of all kinds of mysterious feats. Don't ask too many questions.]

[ilyana]

[That earns you a pretty blank stare Don.]

... You don't say?

[I mean obviously she must have mistaken you for a pirate with that armband... and headband.]

[TOO MANY QUESTIONS.]

[His attempt at being awesome having failed, he backtracks to a more serious answer.]

It's all in the wrist. You'll see.

[ilyana]

Well... maybe you can show me how then. Perhaps I've been doing it wrong.

[Teach her oh wise Ninja Sensei, in the ancient ninja ways of water balloons!]

[And a pirate approaches! Don gestures: look at the pirate, now back to me, and launches a balloon. It's a bulls-eye!]

[As the pirate stops to look around in surprise, Don presses another balloon into Ilyana's hand. Here's your chance!]

[ilyana]

[Ilyana takes it nervously, and does her best to throw it overhanded at the pirate target... unfortunately it stops meters short of the intended target. In fact, so light was the throw the balloon doesn't even pop until it hit's a particularly rugged rock.]

That... didn't go as well as I hoped.

[Then she quickly ducks down in case of return fire.]

[This is why Don doesn't try to teach people things.]

[He quickly hides as well.]

Ah... good first throw. We'll keep working on it.

[ilyana]

[Ilyana is at best, skeptical.]

I don't know if throwing things is really my line of expertise. Is there any other decent method of doing this do you think?

You could always make a water balloon gun.

[She suddenly seems more excited by this idea.]

So it's something that would fire the balloons for me?
