Whoa - Linda!

[Linda's sudden appearance takes Aang off guard, and he hears various balloons in his own bag popping before he leaps to the side. There's one balloon in hand and two still left in his bag. He doesn't toss it yet but is ready to dodge Masaomi's, trying his best to keep his eyes on both of the ninjas.]

[in coming! One, and then a second. And then he leaps on off the building, Linda racing over to him to catch him in a magnetic field. It's On]

[Aang does some quick weaving and dodging to get around Masaomi's attack, at the cost of a chance to nail Masaomi while he was jumping. He does a roll along the ground to put some distance between them and then looks back towards them.]

You're good, Aang-kun. You're cashing some serious checks, here.

Really? That's a good thing, right?

[generalflirt]

Only if you can cash them. [And then he cheap shots a balloon while they're talking and he rolls off to the left]

[He's about to voice his confusion when the balloon is rocketed at him. He tries a quick leap out of the way, but it still hits his leg and splatters.]

Hey, that's cheap!

[And he then leaps forward, trying to propel the balloon in hand towards Masaomi with airbending.]

[And here's where the plan damages. He's got reflexes out the wazoo, yes, but all Aang needs is to push a little bending into his projectiles to make them more fast than he could possibly evade.

Fortunately, this doesn't seem to have happened yet. Like with many times in the past few months, he seems to enter a point of clarity where the world slows as the balloon sails at him, and -

Ducks out of the way of it. Alright! Now where's Linda again-? Oh good, she's already moving to flank, he spies her in a tree after a quick glance]

A good move - but ye'll be walking the plank soon enough!

[He grabs one of his remaining balloons while keeping alert. He's not sure where Linda went, but that can't be good.]

Not if I take you out before then, Aang, my boy!

[He takes a balloon in hand too, to make it an old fashioned stand off]

Is that how ninjas even talk?

[He keeps on guard with the balloon readied for the standoff.]

I dunno, actually! Is that how pirates talk?

Yeah! Well, the ones at home kinda talked like that, but the Straw Hats don't!

Wow really?! I thought those were only in stories!

[savedtheworld]

They were real pirates alright! And they talked just like... [He stops for a moment in thought, while still trying to keep aware for an attack.] Did they talk like that? It feels like they did. But the captain did have an iguana parrot like the stories say! They just mean instead of how cool they sounded in the stories.

[He nods, and then while Aang is explaining, he subtly makes a snake ninja hand-sign, smiling while he listens. And just about as Aang finishes-- Linda strikes.

Masaomi's nice enough to have her not use electricity on him (he's got his obsessions about that and for a casual game he wouldn't violate those) but he isn't nice enough to have her not use Fake Out. So, enjoy that sonic boom which makes everyone ever flinch off to you left Aang. Masaomi will be trying to throw his own balloon too.

Sneak attack.]

[Ah, that Fake Out, an unpleasant reminder of the first time they met. Aang's balloon drops as he flinches, and Masaomi's balloon is able to make contact, but Aang is able to quickly flick a hand to bend his balloon skyward, just to keep it from hitting the ground yet..]

[Damn. Masaomi considers having Linda Faint Attack or Quick Attack up there... but it's straight up. She could magnet rise... He readies another balloon to toss as he jerks a finger upwards and whistles.

Linda takes the cue and starts to float-fly up towards the bended balloon!! To pop it]

No you don't! [Aang quickly jumps into the air and twists his body, using some airbending to propel himself up to try to catch the balloon first.]
