[The plan works for perhaps a minute - as she begins looking left and right furiously, spraying flecks of red every which way - before Norma's logical half kicks in and she instead looks up. Sneaky-sneak...there you are. And you are going to pay for that.]

GOTCHA! [One quick hand into her bag for ammunition, and Norma's hurling a balloon at Kida, hoping gravity will be kind to her and not send it flopping back down before it reaches him.]

You wish! [And he... well, this move is either dumb or brilliant, but perhaps the brilliance of it is that the throw actually connects. Namely, he throws one of his own balloons to hit hers in its lob up. the two connect in mid-air and both blow up against each other.]

[It's a good move, for both parties. Norma dives away from the on-coming rain of mixed colors, hoping to beat a hasty retreat to a safer and less colorful area. Or, better yet, find a way up to where Kida is and get her revenge. Norma does not take the irony of having her hair dyed red of all things very funny. Oh, if Marco happened upon her to see...she'll never live it down. That's why she's got to get her revenge first!]

Mark my words, Kid, you're gonna pay one way or another... [Grumble, grumble.] Once I get up there--!

Ah, but by the time you're here, won't I have retreated?! [And he says this a little expression off the edge of the roof. ...He's out of balloons isn't he. That's problematic. Oh well, then he's going to go to run off the roof and have Linda float them over to the net roof over. Hopefully this'll work]

But he's got a point. If she's not quick, she can lose her opportunity to strike. Darn... Ugh, she hates to admit, but having Marco fly along right at this moment would be really great. Kida wouldn't have the advantage over her anymore, and she's have a lot more freedom to roam and strike from whichever direction she wanted. Whyyyy did she think splitting up was a good idea?! Oooh...whatever! She'll make a break for it, watching where he goes next and trying to hit him midway if she can.]

[Well there he is - he and his mouse are floating between the roofs. It's on a magnetic field, and it's not slow, but it's not as fast as say a running leap would be. He's also upside down]

[Norma actually has to shut her eyes and shake her head after seeing that right there, because...seriously, what even. That can't possibly have been a real thing. Yet...she's still seeing Kida walk on seemingly nothing, upside down, with his rabbit creature thing. There are so many things wrong with that chfjht Norma can't even begin to pick which one she wants to address.

Either way, her hand hovers over her bag, still stocked with a few more balloons. Ugh...she could totally hit him. He's walking kinda slowish, but if she does nail him, what if he like...f-falls all of a sudden? And splits his head open on the pavement and it'll be her fault and she'll get in so much trouble and he'll be dead and ohgod no. No, no, no, no, no. She'll just watch and wait until he's at least on some kind of solid ground before she arms herself. Norma's not about to attempt accidental homicide today, mmkay?]

[The walking is mostly for effect anyway. Technically, they're floating, similar to how Magneto flies- riding on a magnetic field. Buuuut, it does make him feel better about the fact he still hasn't mastered steering how to remain upright with Linda's field to flail his legs a bit. Pretend he's swimming.

Which is why his arms start to move too once they get over the neighboring roof. He's trying to orient himself upright before they drop onto it]

[Honestly, the sight is a little boggling, seeing Kida floating upside down with every expectation that he's going to just...j-just come crashing down in a big, messy, red splatter all over the pavement. Norma's holding her breath, her grip on her balloon somehow, miraculously, not popping it. When he's finally over the roof, she still doesn't really stop holding her breath, though Norma does finally lose her patience and start yelling out. This is too nerve-wracking.]

AAAAH, JEEZ! GET DOWN FROM THERE, YOU POOR EXCUSE FOR A CIRCUS ACT! YOU'RE FREAKING ME OUT! I can't hit you when I'm afraid you're gonna go splat! What kinds fight is this, huh?! Come down here and face me like a man, you...you--Kid!

[Aaaan, release. Linda release the field, and they touched down on the roof, just fine and on their feet. For his part, he bursts out laughing at that, getting one of the only balloons he has left in hand]
