Happy Happy Turkey Day

Who: Marvel people plus friends. I'm not even attempting to make this list out.
What: Marvelsgiving!
When: November 22, 2012
Where: House 49
Summary: It's Thanksgiving. There's a meal and socializing. Also fun.
Rating: PG, PG-13 max? A kid got invited to this.
Considering how last minute all of this had been, Pepper was actually pretty satisfied with how things were turning out. Rogue had shown up early with helpers in tow, immediately setting to work in the kitchen. The house had been filled with delicious aromas shortly thereafter, and Pepper busied herself with the other details until guests started to arrive--at which point part of her job became keeping people out of the kitchen, per Rogue's orders.

The set up was straightforward: the dining room table was used to hold the assorted dishes, where people could fix themselves plates. A similar set up with drinks (although please, don't give alcohol to the children). Chairs set out for people to sit, since there were too many to even attempt a traditional sit down dinner. But that was fine by Pepper, who made her way through the group, making sure everyone was happy, or at least not destroying part of her house.

Better safe than sorry, with this crowd.

(ooc: post! mingle! include whatever dish your character brought for the potluck and wait for them to be judged. and as always, have fun.)

Billy's response to the sudden halt of movement is a low whining noise, half-muffled by his head buried against Teddy's shirt. This is that unstoppable-force-meets-immobile-object thing, isn't it? And it's such a great idea, too.

At Teddy's question, he lifts his head again, blinking as innocently as possible up at his smirking boyfriend. His tone is very serious, full of mock-concern. "No less than four glasses of egg nog, and a soda with dessert. Also some coffee. I think I have a problem, Tee."

He tries pulling again, with no luck. Damn Skree super-strength. It's downright unfair.

Nope, no luck. Teddy's expression doesn't change, and he moves one hand back to brush Billy's bangs back, then give his hair a little ruffle. He knows better, B.

"Just plain soda and eggnog? Nothing added to it?" He nudges Billy's forehead with his cheek as he goes on, "It smells different, is all."

"...Well." Billy's brows furrow a little, trying to keep his expression serious and failing miserably as a conspicuous smile crosses his lips. He figured Teddy would catch on - those super-senses and super-observing skills and ugh, he's such a cheater - it just happened faster than expected. "I never said nothing was added."

His hands twist a bit against the blond's body - one to grasp Teddy's, the other snaking back to swing slightly at his side as he tries a more conventional way of pulling. Which isn't much easier, but it feels like it ought to be more effective.

Ah, there's the admission. Teddy grins, finally relenting and turning in Billy's grip to allow himself to be pulled along. See, wasn't that easy?

"I swear to God, Bee, if you throw up on me, I'm breaking up with you." He shakes his head, but there's still a smile on his face; Billy isn't plastered like other teens he knew back then, so at least he doesn't have to deal with a stumbling drunk or anything.
selfhelp: ([billy] no. no. you're cut off.)

Oh, he wanted honesty, did he? Well, that's something Billy is (generally) pretty good at. ...More or less. Once Teddy cooperates, Billy pulls him back to the wall, pressing against it and winding an arm around Teddy's neck while his hand lowers to touch the wall, feeling around for... something. He's not really looking.

"Okay, one, I am absolutely not in the least bit drunk," he pauses to kiss Teddy's cheek, "Two, you threaten to do that at least once a week and it hasn't happened yet because why would you ever let go of this," another pause, another kiss, this time on the opposite cheek, "And three-"

This time it's not so much an answer as a real kiss, mouth to mouth, letting it last a few seconds more. He tastes like milky cinnamon and sugar. Pulling back after a moment, he frowns and lightly flicks Teddy's nose. "Three, it's not my fault. Mr. Stark and Ms. Romanov are responsible for the distribution of illegal substances to minors."

There, could he say all that if he was drunk?

Teddy himself tastes like Count Chocula cereal. Yup. But the kiss is still nice, and Billy is at least coherent and sassy as usual, probably more tipsy than anything. No need to worry about barf on his feet, then.

So when he pulls back, he still stays close to Billy's lips, a light grin on his own while leans one arm above Billy's head, the other hand reaching to the side to find what Billy's looking for - a doorknob. Ah, right. Teddy's been here enough times to know there's a closet right there.

"Four, it is your fault, because while Mr. Stark and Ms. Romanov distributed the drinks, you're still the one who drank it," he pauses to twist his hand and open the closet door, "Five, you're not drunk, but you are tipsy. And six, we're in Iron Man's house, and not only are a lot of people here, but a kid, too. So, I suggest we keep it quiet."

Not that they'd ever go beyond making out in someone else's house or risk dying of mortification, but even making out can be a little noisy.

"That's- mmf- kind of the idea-" With Teddy's help, the door is open, and with a series of motions that he'd hoped would be smooth but instead ends up a little flaily and clumsy, he twists them around, shoves Teddy into the closet with him, and shuts the door behind them, burying them in darkness and coats, with Billy trapped between the closet wall and Teddy's chest. "...There. No one can complain if we're out of sight, right?"

"Heh." Teddy sure hopes that's the case, anyway. It's still completely dark, and his eyes haven't adjusted yet, so when he leans over to try whispering in his ear, he ends up pushing his nose against Billy's cheek instead.

"Ha - sorry." He can't help being amused, and instead of going for his ear, Teddy decides to trail his lips down, letting that act as a guide, to brush against his jawline. Once he reaches it, he murmurs against it, "Mm, here I thought we were going to save all this for tomorrow."

Just the word 'tomorrow' makes a sort of giddy happiness bloom in his chest, and god, he is hopeless and he knows it.

Ooh, well, that's alright. Billy tilts his head a bit to give Teddy access to his neck if he wants to take it. His hands are on Teddy's back, fingers grasping the material to keep him close, brushing over the smooth material of his vest.

"What, you think we can't have it both ways?" His tone is teasing, but there's just as much giddiness beneath the surface; tomorrow is such a huge day, a landmark for any couple but for super heroes and teenagers especially. For super teens it must be some kind of miracle.

For he and Teddy, though... well, it had been pretty easy.

"Guess there's no rule against it." Teddy would tease more than that, but his mouth is currently preoccupied with Billy's neck, though he decides to be good and not go beyond kisses and nuzzles. How mortifying would it be for the both of them to walk out with a mark that definitely wasn't there before on Billy's neck?

Just after he brushes his lips against Billy's adam's apple, he lifts his head - and bumps his nose against Billy's chin, oops - to press his lips against his boyfriend's instead, his own hands moving up to curl into the sleeves of his dress shirt. God, he'd been actually wanting to kiss him since they first locked eyes after he walked out of the kitchen.

You know what the great thing about a healing factor is? No hickies. Or at least, not long-lasting ones. Which means that when they finally run out of air, Billy can tilt his head and nibble away at the spot between Teddy's head and shoulders without guilt or concern. It's kind of pointless to do it in the dark, but he'll know, and Teddy will know, and really, what else matters?

"Whoever writes reality makes the rules," he mumbles against Teddy's neck, shifting back to wind his arms around the blond's shoulders and dragging him in for another proper makeout. They could be at this for a good while.]

With Teddy so distracted, having been so riled up thanks to Billy nipping at his neck and then the heated kiss that followed, he didn't notice that someone was coming until it was far too late. It's the sudden light that snaps him out of it, seeing how the only way that should be happening is if someone opens the door, and his eyes snap open, then squint a little in the light while he takes a step back, though his hands remain on Billy's upper arms.

"Ms. - Pepper!" Of all the people to walk in on them, why did it have to be her? And... isn't this the second time she did this? Ugh, that's not important; Teddy's absolutely red in the face, and he glances at Billy as if seeking help in some way. "It's not... really... It's only sort of what it looks like."

"...You are such a bad liar," comes a mumble from below; Billy barely looks up, his face pressed up against Teddy's neck by force rather than by choice when Teddy turns to face the intruder. His face is a little flushed, but that might have more to do with the heat of the moment than embarrassment, considering his response is to stretch a hand out half-blind for the door handle, trying to close the closet again, calling out "Occupied!"

Sorry, Teddy, you'll get no help from him.

Teddy glances at Billy again, his expression resigned and still mortified, before he lets out a sigh, takes his boyfriend's hands, and starts to lead the way out. They were caught, might as well live up to the consequences and not push it further. Besides, they can always continue in the apartment.

"We're really sorry." He says as he passes Pepper, letting go of one of Billy's hands to rub the back of his neck. Talk about embarrassing.

Pfft. Pffft. Billy doesn't let Teddy get far; he pulls on Teddy's hand as they move, resisting the pull, and at Pepper's words, he lets out a snort, grinning and pressing his face against the blond's back to try and muffle the noise. "We're already- mmf- we're out of the closet-"

It's not that funny, but he feels planted firmly between giddy, embarrassed, and hysterical, so everything is at least a little bit amusing right now.

Teddy raises an eyebrow at his boyfriend, though he can't fight the little smirk and the quiet snort that escapes. Came out of the closet indeed, ha. Still, Billy isn't exactly cooperating here...

And when Pepper brings that up, Teddy turns his head to look at her, giving her his most unimpressed look. "Yes, he has. Your boyfriend gave him alcohol. Ms. Romanova did too, apparently."

And before Billy can pipe up, Teddy lifts his head, as if he just knows he's going to be interrupted. "I know, I know, you're not drunk. You're tipsy."

"Mm." Billy nods approving of Teddy's correction, nuzzling against his shoulder. "Oh, and Loki gave me some too. But he definitely shouldn't be drinking, he's too young." He pauses, sobering (sort of) and giving Pepper a very serious look. "I'm sorry about the closet. I'd have taken him to the spare bedroom, but I didn't want to give anyone the wrong impression."

He doesn't sound particularly apologetic, but surely he can get a few points for effort, right?

Snrk.

Okay, so Teddy really shouldn't be snickering, but with Pepper wording it like that, he really can't help it. Because yes, this situation was mostly Billy's fault, what with actually drinking all that alcohol and going for making out with the boyfriend in the closet instead of waiting until they got home.

Mostly, anyway. Teddy does shut his eyes and lift his hands up, a grin coming over his face.

"And I'm the one who indulged and went with him, like a responsible boyfriend." He's still grinning as he lowers his hands, letting one come to a rest on Billy's shoulder. "You don't have to worry about Billy. I'll carry him home and make him drink water if I have to. We've got something to do tomorrow, and I'm not about to let a hangover ruin it."

Billy frowns up at Teddy, looking unimpressed by the hand on his shoulder. It's so impersonal...

"I'm not gonna be hungover on our anniversary, T." He pauses, looking torn once again between sulking and amusement. He's nor sure how he's supposed to feel about all this- getting caught, getting treated like he's incompetent just because he's a little "tipsy", being interrupted when he just wanted to kiss a little. Bah. Adults. And his apparently too-mature boyfriend, too. "And I can still get us home just fine..."
