Happy Happy Turkey Day

Who: Marvel people plus friends. I'm not even attempting to make this list out.
What: Marvelsgiving!
When: November 22, 2012
Where: House 49
Summary: It's Thanksgiving. There's a meal and socializing. Also fun.
Rating: PG, PG-13 max? A kid got invited to this.
Considering how last minute all of this had been, Pepper was actually pretty satisfied with how things were turning out. Rogue had shown up early with helpers in tow, immediately setting to work in the kitchen. The house had been filled with delicious aromas shortly thereafter, and Pepper busied herself with the other details until guests started to arrive--at which point part of her job became keeping people out of the kitchen, per Rogue's orders.

The set up was straightforward: the dining room table was used to hold the assorted dishes, where people could fix themselves plates. A similar set up with drinks (although please, don't give alcohol to the children). Chairs set out for people to sit, since there were too many to even attempt a traditional sit down dinner. But that was fine by Pepper, who made her way through the group, making sure everyone was happy, or at least not destroying part of her house.

Better safe than sorry, with this crowd.

(ooc: post! mingle! include whatever dish your character brought for the potluck and wait for them to be judged. and as always, have fun.)

She chuckles at the compliment. "Thank you, Pepper. You look beautiful tonight as well. You'll have to tell me how you found your dress." Shopping wasn't exactly easy in Luceti, when there were barely any places to start.

"A drink would be good, thank you. What do you have?" Logan brought beer, she knew, but she really wasn't much of a beer drinker if she could help it.

Ororo chuckles. "Perhaps I should try to come with you when you go, maybe the luck will rub off." Not that she was dressed shabbily; Ororo tried to make it a point to dress smartly when presented with the opportunity, after all.

"But a glass of cider would be nice to start with, I think." It's a little early for alcohol, she figures. And she's not sure she wants to be anything close to tipsy, not tonight.

"Perhaps before the Christmas season is upon us. It would be nice to have some new things for the winter." So maybe she was a little bit of a clothes horse. She didn't get much chance to indulge in that back home, so she figured it was all right if she did so here.

She murmurs her thanks once Pepper hands her the drink, smiling gratefully. "Not very long, apparently. Luceti's advances in the medical and, ah, healing field is far more advanced than what I am used to."

Ororo just chuckles - both at the thought of Christmas shopping (a holiday she shouldn't need to celebrate per se, but like Thanksgiving, enjoyed nonetheless for how it brought families together), and at the mention of Logan escorting around.

"I've known Logan many years now, and perhaps there are times that I can persuade him to do certain things he wouldn't normally do... But I'm afraid playing pack mule is not one of them." She smiles. "Kurt would probably be a better option for that, in any case."

"With any luck, it will be well and healed by next week." She knew a great healer, after all. Too bad she was stuck at the X-house on bedrest right now.

"And I'm sure Tony could prove to be good company on a shopping outing. He and Kurt seem to get along well enough, though having the both their senses of humor in the same place might not be such a good idea..."
