Happy Happy Turkey Day
Who: Marvel people plus friends. I'm not even attempting to make this list out.
What: Marvelsgiving!
When: November 22, 2012
Where: House 49
Summary: It's Thanksgiving. There's a meal and socializing. Also fun.
Rating: PG, PG-13 max? A kid got invited to this.
Considering how last minute all of this had been, Pepper was actually pretty satisfied with how things were turning out. Rogue had shown up early with helpers in tow, immediately setting to work in the kitchen. The house had been filled with delicious aromas shortly thereafter, and Pepper busied herself with the other details until guests started to arrive--at which point part of her job became keeping people out of the kitchen, per Rogue's orders.
The set up was straightforward: the dining room table was used to hold the assorted dishes, where people could fix themselves plates. A similar set up with drinks (although please, don't give alcohol to the children). Chairs set out for people to sit, since there were too many to even attempt a traditional sit down dinner. But that was fine by Pepper, who made her way through the group, making sure everyone was happy, or at least not destroying part of her house.
Better safe than sorry, with this crowd.
(ooc: post! mingle! include whatever dish your character brought for the potluck and wait for them to be judged. and as always, have fun.)

"A drink would be good, thank you. What do you have?" Logan brought beer, she knew, but she really wasn't much of a beer drinker if she could help it.
no subject
"Pretty much anything you can name. Soda, juice, cider, all of which I can add alcohol to. There's also beer and wine."
no subject
"But a glass of cider would be nice to start with, I think." It's a little early for alcohol, she figures. And she's not sure she wants to be anything close to tipsy, not tonight.

She nodded at the request, then politely excused herself long enough to get the drink, which she held out to Ororo on her return. “Here you go. So did they say how long you were going to have to wear the sling for?”
no subject
She murmurs her thanks once Pepper hands her the drink, smiling gratefully. "Not very long, apparently. Luceti's advances in the medical and, ah, healing field is far more advanced than what I am used to."
no subject
But Pepper definitely didn’t begrudge Ororo her love of clothing; she was fully aware of what she kept in her own closet, and how much she enjoyed finding all of it.
She nodded at the mention of healing, a faint smile crossing her lips. “Same. Especially the part where I’ve been learning how to heal myself.” And the fact that she could do it, that she was getting better at using magic—all of it blew her mind. “But I’m glad you won’t be trapped for long. You’re pretty good at getting Logan to escort you places from what I’ve seen, but I think getting him to carry your bags while we’re shopping would probably be pushing it.”
no subject
"I've known Logan many years now, and perhaps there are times that I can persuade him to do certain things he wouldn't normally do... But I'm afraid playing pack mule is not one of them." She smiles. "Kurt would probably be a better option for that, in any case."

"And I'm sure Tony could prove to be good company on a shopping outing. He and Kurt seem to get along well enough, though having the both their senses of humor in the same place might not be such a good idea..."
no subject
Pepper has to bite back a laugh when Ororo poses that particular theory. “Tony can be incredibly good company when he wants to be. But I think if I tried to drag him shopping, he’d get bored.” Which Pepper could understand; shopping wasn’t everyone’s thing. But when Tony got bored, he also got very vocal, and potentially aggravating. While Pepper did love him, she still had her limits.
“They could keep each other company—although they might end up getting in trouble too.” Kurt seemed the type, and Pepper already knew Tony was. She’d expect an escape attempt at the very least.
