Happy Happy Turkey Day

Who: Marvel people plus friends. I'm not even attempting to make this list out.
What: Marvelsgiving!
When: November 22, 2012
Where: House 49
Summary: It's Thanksgiving. There's a meal and socializing. Also fun.
Rating: PG, PG-13 max? A kid got invited to this.
Considering how last minute all of this had been, Pepper was actually pretty satisfied with how things were turning out. Rogue had shown up early with helpers in tow, immediately setting to work in the kitchen. The house had been filled with delicious aromas shortly thereafter, and Pepper busied herself with the other details until guests started to arrive--at which point part of her job became keeping people out of the kitchen, per Rogue's orders.

The set up was straightforward: the dining room table was used to hold the assorted dishes, where people could fix themselves plates. A similar set up with drinks (although please, don't give alcohol to the children). Chairs set out for people to sit, since there were too many to even attempt a traditional sit down dinner. But that was fine by Pepper, who made her way through the group, making sure everyone was happy, or at least not destroying part of her house.

Better safe than sorry, with this crowd.

(ooc: post! mingle! include whatever dish your character brought for the potluck and wait for them to be judged. and as always, have fun.)
not_a_troll: (Oh really?)

Oh! It was going to be one of those games.

"You are... Times infinity."
wildbluevagner: (holo - speaking out)

"You are. Times infinity times two."
not_a_troll: (Oh really?)

[personal profile] not_a_troll 2012-12-06 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"No, no, no. You cannot multiply infinity since infinity is already infinite."

Loki leans forward a bit.

"Chances are big you are rather stupid, yes?"
wildbluevagner: (holo - dishwashing)

[personal profile] wildbluevagner 2012-12-06 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
"No, I'm really smart. You're the one timesed infinity first! And if you're going to get that logical, infinity might not even exist!"
not_a_troll: (haha nope)

[personal profile] not_a_troll 2012-12-06 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"I see. Such an enormous mistake on my part," Loki answers with a sharp tone in his voice. "Is there proof that infinity does not exist?"
wildbluevagner: (holo - sandwhich)

[personal profile] wildbluevagner 2012-12-06 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
And Kurt fires right back. "Is there proof it does?"
not_a_troll: (i'm listening)

[personal profile] not_a_troll 2012-12-06 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"Is there proof it does not?"
wildbluevagner: (holo - eyebrow raise)

[personal profile] wildbluevagner 2012-12-06 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"But is there proof that it does?"
not_a_troll: (haha nope)

this is the best conversation. period.

[personal profile] not_a_troll 2012-12-07 08:35 am (UTC)(link)
"Yet, is there proof that it doesn't?"
wildbluevagner: (holo -)

of course it is

[personal profile] wildbluevagner 2012-12-07 09:10 am (UTC)(link)
"Before that, is there proof that it does?"
not_a_troll: (i shall tell you a tale)

indeed.

[personal profile] not_a_troll 2012-12-07 10:53 am (UTC)(link)
"I see, I see. But what if there isn't one bit of proof that it does not? As in not ever, you see?"
wildbluevagner: (holo - confident)

[personal profile] wildbluevagner 2012-12-07 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's one way of looking at it. I can almost see where you're coming from. But you also have to consider that there's no proof that it does, ever."
not_a_troll: (i shall tell you a tale)

[personal profile] not_a_troll 2012-12-10 01:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Loki nods.

"Of course and I completely respect your opinion about this matter. Yet, I wonder...because what if there is not any bit of proof at all? Have you ever considered that?"
Edited (english what is that) 2012-12-10 13:38 (UTC)
wildbluevagner: (holo -)

[personal profile] wildbluevagner 2012-12-10 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm glad you're seeing this in a polite and kind way, even if there's still some flaws in your stances. Like the fact that there might not be any proof that it does? That's something worth more consideration."

This... is definitely distracting him from his stomach feeling overloaded, at least.
not_a_troll: (haha nope)

[personal profile] not_a_troll 2012-12-14 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
"But I am a very polite and kind person and polite and kind persons do not have any flaws in their stances. And since my condition can be deemed flawless the fact that there is no proof that it doesn't exist seems more believable, you see?"

Loki sits back, looking thoroughly amused.

Kurt's stomach was starting to ache. This whole argument was really making him feel a little sick. He needed to get through this food coma in peace. And there was only one way for him to end this argument.

"You know what? Maybe you are right, little man. It's hard for me to think of anything to counter that. Maybe there really is such a thing as infinity."

Then, after a pause, he grins and speaks back quickly, "Except that there's no proof that there is!"

Almost instantly, he BAMFed away, leaving beyond the usual cloud of smoke smelling like brimstone. Getting the last word is winning, right.
