you're killing me, Fi. 8|

[A scowl is the response to his teasing ways, and Perona even puts her arms over her chest, quietly huffing. Honestly, she gets him a very nice present - one she really searched for to make sure it was the best - and he's just making fun of her! What a terrible man...even if this is a nice thing to come back to. Coming back at all is grand, but returning to witty wordplay and some fun fills a small part of her with a bundle of warmth. It's the familiarity and nostalgia of being back in the castle with him, having these spats, and almost always losing them...hmph!

Though, once he offers up the gift, Perona's pout is easily replaced by curiosity and intrigue again as she takes and opens up the little box.]

A present is better than simple words anyway. Oh--!

[Oh my! Earrings! A-And they look like little bat wings, too, oh gosh. ♥ They're adorable, and they're equally beautiful! What a shimmering color... these would go easily with her gown, so no fussing about with an outfit to match. Ugh, they're perfect! Even if she doesn't exactly feel very deserving of them. Still, a gift from Mihawk is a rare treat, and a nice one like this is to be valued.

Which is probably why Perona closes up the box, holds it to her heart with a giant smile on her face, and all but launches herself at the swordsman. Her arms wind around his waist in a tight hug, and she snuggles right into his chest. Sometimes he really can be a sweetheart, and Perona's reminded that he's really not so bad at all. Those very rare moments, but they're the very best when they appear. It makes coming back even more worthwhile.]

Thank you, Mihawk-sama.
