Suki went in to attack. None of her moves were meant to hurt Asami, just test her skills. She even threw in some easier level moves to test the other girl. All were meant to be blocked.

But Suki wasn't going completely easy on the girl. She threw in some punches that were meant to land. Hopefully they didn't, but if they did then Asami would be hit.
