I would survive. To lose a sense, or all senses, or all memories, or the inconvenience and pain of a temporary demise would be a small price to pay. Unless it isn't temporary at all.

Does your 'spirit' tell you they're harmless and above suspicion, or is it refusal to acknowledge there might be an active threat you simply don't want to deal with?
