[They would all laugh at the situation in hindsight, because everything in it was too absurd to be dealt with otherwise. Breathing deeply to quell his frustration, Cliff gently pushed Fayt's wing out of the way and slipped underneath it. His composure returned.]

Don't be. No one expected this.

[Once more he climbed onto the bed, this time behind Fayt, and braced himself against the wall as he leaned forward to get a different perspective of the problem. He gingerly touched the recolored wing, as if testing it's strength and level of fluidity.]

Alright. [His tone was level, controlled. There was a lesson here.] Let's try this again. I want you to relax yourself here, the shoulders and the wings. Just breath, and try to think of them as another set of arms.
