In fact, Jack's insinuation had been entirely different. He had, at that moment, been legitimately concerned that the General had forced himself onto her. There were certain lines even Jack wouldn't cross and that was one of them. But when he heard what she really had to say, he wasn't overly concerned with what she thought of him.
