[Her stroke is both smooth and automatic now, arcing out to slice the object cleanly in half, expression serene. She barely looked at it.

This is what she's been missing. Peaceful nature aside, there's nothing quite like moving with a blade, regardless of what it's made of.

I wonder if lethal force will be necessary.
