Kitten devours the rest of the apple, then closes the distance between herself and Derek to nudge him lightly with her snout and chirp thanks again. One of the ways to this particular dragon's heart is definitely through her stomach.

She takes another look down at the village, then tosses what little is left of her apple core off the edge of the building. It doesn't plummet straight to the ground, though, as she sends a swirl of wind after it. The apple core weaves and bobs through the air before dropping into a garbage can. Kitten whistles her satisfaction, still enjoying just how naturally wind manipulation comes now.
