Bulla gave her father a big hug in return. Much as she loved him, she'd never idolized him the same way that her brother had. Instead, she'd always been content to cheer for the both of them from the stands. Not only had she never been driven to train to try to become a great warrior, but there had never been a need. Bulla had grown up in a peaceful time that was free of threats to the Earth. Until Bebi, she'd never encountered any serious danger. She'd always been safe, and content with the knowledge that she would be protected.
Being possessed by that parasite had shaken her up a lot more than she liked to admit. Ultimately, though, it was the knowledge that even little kids with no powers or training could be drafted that first got her tentatively training. Once she'd started, she thought about telling her father, and then realized it would be the perfect Father's Day surprise.
"You can redeem it in two minutes," she said. "I was going to give you your present after I used the bathroom, but you didn't want to wait."
And after drinking a generous glass of orange juice...well. There was no way she was going to tolerate ten time's Earth's gravity without relieving herself first.
