musubi: (down for now)

[August 2nd - Isamu wakes in the cellar of a mansion, back against a wooden stool, an empty wine bottle on his left. It's not his first time waking up hungover, but it's first time waking up with no recollection of how he'd gotten that way in the first place. He's not so hungover that he could have had enough to black out the whole thing.

A bleary examination of himself reveals that he's wearing the most expensive outfit that he's probably ever worn in his life, surprisingly clean despite his (assumed) previous drunkenness, though the tie and shirt have been loosened. More important, however, is the lack of discomfort in his back when he slides up a bit straighter against the stool.

His wings are gone.

This causes him to stand up immediately... and regret it right after. Once he's finished pinching the bridge of his nose and waiting for the nausea to abate, he double-checks to make certain. No feathers. Not a one.

Yet he remembers everything, so he can only conclude that this is another Malnosso trick somehow. He'll have to find answers, which means straightening himself up and heading upstairs to see who else is around. He tucks his shirt in, at least, tie remaining woefully undone. Time to greet the household.]

---

[Later in the day, once he's sobered up considerably, he can be found out running errands for the household. Because apparently he's a servant and this is his job. As much as he wants to argue this (and has argued this), he doesn't know what else to do but go along with it for now. There has to be someone else around here who isn't taken in by this illusion.]

---

[August 3rd-6th - One very displeased Isamu will be sneaking out of his duties whenever possible, looking for anyone who seems as confused about things as he does - anyone causing a stir.

This will eventually gain him unwanted attention.]
