To tell the truth, Daria Morgendorffer finds her life creepy, but that's not really new or unusual. In fact, it seems decidedly same old same old.
She hasn't bothered with the Homecoming dance (despite her sister's best efforts), or certainly finding a date for it, and that's made her stand out even more as a pariah in school, which also isn't new at all. All the hype just seems ridiculous for a single event most of them probably aren't going to care much about once it's over except to bring up at class reunions.
So today, instead of shopping for her dress or squealing over someone's ideas about the decorations, Daria is taking advantage of the sunny day to catch a nap on a blanket she's spread out in front of House 19, which is not nearly as far from the school as she'd like.
