[Simon's exhausted and there's a part of him that just wants to crawl into his bed and sleep until he has to be up for another all-too-early morning. But his brother's home for dinner tonight and Sam's here and for a little while, it feels cozy and familiar and good and these evenings seem to be rarer these days somehow. So he's cherishing what he's got. He's gotten good at that in recent years.
Dinner is stew - an indulgence, but easy to make when what you have to work with is odds and ends from the grocer's.
He glances over at Jack a moment before grinning at Sam.]
It was work. Busy. Although Vastra's boys kept dropping by to make a nuisance of themselves here and there to break up the monotony of it.
