Who: Pepper Potts, Tony Stark, and everyone who has gathered there today.
What: A wedding and reception
When: Sept 14, All Day
Where: Cherry Blossom Hill / The Battle Dome
Summary: Pepper and Tony are getting married ~~finally~~ ~~officially~~ finally.
Rating: PG/PG-13 max? There's at least one kid here.
The decorations on the hill are simple ones; they've chosen this spot because it's naturally beautiful without the need for embellishments. Chairs have been set up for the expected guests, with a clear path laid out for the wedding party. And of course up front there is a place for those people to stand, in sight of everyone gathered so Tony won't be able to tell Pepper "I told you so" as color commentary won't be necessary.

After the ceremony everyone will be invited to go to the Battle Dome for the reception. There Tony's programmed an expansive hall with tables and seating enough for everyone. There's also a dance floor, which everyone is encouraged to take advantage of. The atmosphere is warm and vibrant, clearly intended to help all in attendance have a good time. Dinner will be served, and there's an open bar, with rum by request of the officiant.

Just don't get too rowdy, okay kids?

That little movement only seemed to make it worse.

"Do they have a department that we could complain to?"

"There's that woman, here, now. Carol or Cheryl or whatever. Something that starts with a C. But something tells me she's not here to field complaints about toiletries."

"Well, someone should. We're supposed to do work for them without being provided those basic necessities?"

"I guess they haven't always been so used to providing for us modern women or something like that. God, when I first got here I felt like a snowflake."

"Or maybe they just didn't care."

"An equally valid theory, for once."

"Hey! All my theories are valid."

"All of them, Anya? Really?"

"Yes, really."

Especially the ones about bunnies.

Buffy simply offered a look, and then changed the topic: "Can't say I expected you. Y'know. Here."

"It was... nice to have something to dress up for. And I was invited."

And the invasion left behind those weird obligation feelings that it would have felt odd not to follow through on, even if she didn't help out.

"...And the Potts-Stark clan are pretty decent folk. Even the Stark half, once you get to know him. Which I suppose you already have, in a way."

"They're kind of weird, if you ask me. Stark thinks that giant plush rabbits are an acceptable birthday gift."

"We don't all have your very discerning sensibilities, Anya. Though -- I confess, I don't even dislike rabbits and I would find that supremely weird. Gift-wise."

"The thing was huge. Remember that evil bunny-bear thing I told you about before? It was larger than that. And they had it, just blocking the way into the store."

"And this was during the delusional madness, am I right?"

"No, this was before that. She said it was some kind of present that got sent here from home."

"She? Pepper?"

"The one and only. Hey, maybe we should start calling Tony 'Salt' instead of 'Stark'. Think he'd mind?"

Buffy laughed at the prospect.

"I'd love to find out if he did."

"I'll have to use it on him sometime. Try it out." Hey, it wasn't as if Tony didn't give people nicknames himself. It would serve him right. "Maybe it'll stick. Tell his friends."

Buffy smiled. Mostly, she realized, because it was rather gratifying to see Anya take pleasure in anything -- even if that anything might one day include tormenting a mutual friend.

"Get them matching shakers for Christmas."

"Custom made shakers. Think we could find anyone to do that?"

Without missing a beat: "Sokka." Except now she had to pause. "Though, he might not enjoy the commission. He's more of a weapons guy. So maybe Raven...at the smithy, yeah?"

She remembers either hearing - or reading - the names, though she doesn't have faces to match them to. She's seen the faces, but of course, without names. Eventually that would have to be rectified.

For now, she makes a slight face. "... Right. Where they make things for free. Guess it's better than nothing."
