Where: Cherry Blossom Hill / The Battle Dome
Summary: Pepper and Tony are getting married finally officially finally.
Rating: PG/PG-13 max? There's at least one kid here.
The decorations on the hill are simple ones; they've chosen this spot because it's naturally beautiful without the need for embellishments. Chairs have been set up for the expected guests, with a clear path laid out for the wedding party. And of course up front there is a place for those people to stand, in sight of everyone gathered so Tony won't be able to tell Pepper "I told you so" as color commentary won't be necessary.

After the ceremony everyone will be invited to go to the Battle Dome for the reception. There Tony's programmed an expansive hall with tables and seating enough for everyone. There's also a dance floor, which everyone is encouraged to take advantage of. The atmosphere is warm and vibrant, clearly intended to help all in attendance have a good time. Dinner will be served, and there's an open bar, with rum by request of the officiant.

Just don't get too rowdy, okay kids?

[Well, that's friendly . . . ish. If a little more restrained than he would have expected from someone with Elizabeth, of all people. Jack grips tighter in self-defence of his hand more than anything, letting go once Gai does.]

Holden, yeah. [Given his fellow Jacks, he likes to make the clarification.] Good to finally meet the guy Elizabeth can't seem to get out of her head.

[If there is one thing Gai has learned over the years, it would be how to conduct himself in public, especially when he's trying to make a good impression. Not that he personally cares what Jack thinks of him-- rather, it would be much easier for everyone if he didn't go making enemies out of Elizabeth's friends right out of the gate.

No one can ever accuse Gai of not being practical.]

Do I want to know what she's been saying about me?

[His tone of voice is easy, casual. It's honest curiosity more than anything else.]

I don't think I could betray her infatuated girlish confidences. She'd beat me senseless, for one thing.

[Now Gai is really smiling, because he believes every word of that. He's seen her in action before and has no doubt that she would do exactly that.]

Probably with the nearest blunt object, if she didn't kick you where it hurts first.

[The words are meant to be given in a tone of magnanimous patience, but Jack is practically laughing himself, the mental image entirely too vivid.]

It would be in our favor if she did have to choose. That would make it one blow, not two.

[Gai, in turn, is amused by the fact that Jack is amused, because that means he also recognizes just how true it is.]

You're right; I don't think that would fool her for long. We'd just have to hope that we could outrun her instead.
