The first step is the one you believe in
Who: Pepper Potts, Tony Stark, and everyone who has gathered there today.
What: A wedding and reception
When: Sept 14, All Day
Where: Cherry Blossom Hill / The Battle Dome
Summary: Pepper and Tony are getting marriedfinally officially finally.
Rating: PG/PG-13 max? There's at least one kid here.
The decorations on the hill are simple ones; they've chosen this spot because it's naturally beautiful without the need for embellishments. Chairs have been set up for the expected guests, with a clear path laid out for the wedding party. And of course up front there is a place for those people to stand, in sight of everyone gathered so Tony won't be able to tell Pepper "I told you so" as color commentary won't be necessary.
After the ceremony everyone will be invited to go to the Battle Dome for the reception. There Tony's programmed an expansive hall with tables and seating enough for everyone. There's also a dance floor, which everyone is encouraged to take advantage of. The atmosphere is warm and vibrant, clearly intended to help all in attendance have a good time. Dinner will be served, and there's an open bar, with rum by request of the officiant.
Just don't get too rowdy, okay kids?
{{ooc: Visual references and details can be found here. Link is very image heavy. There will be separate threads for before the ceremony, during, and the reception.
EDIT: Now with a sign up to catch the bouquet!}}

[Jack has gotten a lot better since their first lesson or two, and Bucky leads them through familiar steps with obvious delight. He loves dancing, and while his toes definitely appreciate the improvement, it's nice to be teaching skills that don't involve killing anyone (except maybe with style).]
You've gotta live a little, Jackie!

[The rebuke startles a laugh out of Jack – or maybe that's the sudden way he's spun into the crook of Bucky's arm and back out again, perfectly in time to swing back into the rhythm of the music and the dozen cues of motion and pressure. He'd had his doubts, but he did have to hand it to Bucky's insistence on the matter – this really was awfully fun. But that doesn't mean he's eager to possibly completely fail at it when it comes to doing the same thing, unpractised, with Eugene.]
I just- maybe next party. When I require a little less towing across the floor.

[Jack may not have been a natural but Bucky suspects that he's more lacking for confidence than talent.]
Fine, fine, I'll get off your case under one condition: [He pulls Jack back towards him.] You lead for the rest of the song. You know us soldiers, we like to follow orders.

Breathe, Holden. Breathe. Left foot, right foot. Left, right, left-and-right-and-
And it actually clicks, then, how absolutely right everyone is, that dancing needs to be something you don't have to completely think about. Because there's no way thought would fit in with how fantastic the night is and how much he wants to just laugh and the pattern of his own legs whirling them in loose-jointed circles across the floor.]

It takes a few stilted steps, but when Jack finally gets it, Bucky can feel it. It translates into every movement, into obvious joy. And then nothing else matters but the two of them having some fun.
When the song is over, Bucky is so breathlessly proud he pulls Jack into a hug that lifts him off his feet.]
Man, you're fantastic!

Hah-! God. All your fault.

That right there was all you, and don't you forget it. I think your fella owes you a new pair of shoes.

[Jack's still a little flustered, albeit pleasantly so, though finally being stationary again means that it's settling down into simply feeling inordinately pleased. He bats the loose fist away lightly with a grin of his own, nodding for Bucky to follow him over to the drinks table for a well-deserved drink. he has a feeling he's going to keep getting wheedled to take Eugene out, and he needs a little more chemical encouragement for that one.]
Where on Earth did you learn to dance like that, anyway?

[He doubts Jack will, but it's fun to tease him all the same. Bucky really thinks the guy deserves all the credit for the work he's put in, and he thinks if he sees it, Eugene will be the first to agree.
He lifts a beer out of one of the coolers for himself. His expression softens a little at the question, gaze distant, but it's not an unhappy memory.] Back home. Brooklyn. Harlem, sometimes.
[He breaks into a grin again, meeting Jack's eyes.] Even handsome penniless orphans have gotta impress the dames somehow. You'll have to let me know how it works on radio hosts.
