House of M - The Beginning

Who: Billy Kaplan + Anyone who wants to be involved in the House of M Plot + Related CR + Anyone Really
What: Um. The House of M Plot.
When: October 1st-7th
Where: Literally anywhere in Luceti, yo
Summary: Billy returns from a kidnapping feeling a bit, er, different. A white light envelops the village for just a moment, and when it fades... well. All kinds of things are different, actually.
Rating: Varies, anything above R take it elsewhere!

Still accepting last minute sign-ups, if anyone is interested.

It starts off so innocently, early on the morning of October 1st. A burst of light, a warm rush of energy that consumes everything it touches, and it's gentle enough to feel like stepping out into sunlight from the shade. It's so brief that some people might not even notice it happened. But there are certainly... differences. Some subtle, some not. And those changed won't even understand the problem.

After all, why would perfection be a problem?

The truth is, there are no problems. There can't be. It's perfect, Billy thinks. Believes it. His belief is his reality, and now, it's their reality. It all has to be perfect; they deserve it, all of them, for one reason or another. And he'll do whatever he has to protect that perfection from being tainted, ruined, taken away from them.

Teddy died so this could happen, after all.

So what is your new reality?

[Natasha's hoping he leaves his friends outside as he does so, but she motions him inside and towards the living room, tugging Bucky along as well.]

Have a seat, Mytho. Can I get you anything? Something to drink?

[She's a little surprised he's here to see them, and a little worried about it too. Had something happened?]

[He at least doesn't seem troubled - just a bit nervous about something. But he carries himself politely as he goes to sit at the table.]

No, thank you. I find that I'm not particularly thirsty at the moment.

[Bucky settles into the seat across from him. Mytho seems like a nice enough kid but he doesn't think this is leading up towards self-defense lessons, and that's about the only other reason he can think of for kids to visit their house.]

What can we do for you, son?

Is this about Rue?

[There's a hint of curiosity more than concern in Natasha's voice as she sits down beside her husband across from the boy, folding her hands neatly on the table and giving him an encouraging smile, not missing the fact that he seems a bit nervous.]
bottomlessheart: (pleased)

[personal profile] bottomlessheart 2013-10-09 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. [He has his own hands folded politely and nods.]

I'm here because you are her parents. And because... I intend to ask her to be my princess.
jamesbarnes: (I dunno about that)

[personal profile] jamesbarnes 2013-10-09 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
You what?

[WHAT DOES THAT MEAN IS HIS DAUGHTER GETTING MARRIED???]

[Natasha's hand lands on Bucky's shoulder, giving it a quick squeeze because she can already tell his head's about five seconds from imploding and her lips twitch with a subdued smile. She's still perfectly calm and composed and very much amused as she gives the boy across from them a warm smile, encouraging him to go on.]

Do you now? Would you mind explaining what that entails?
bottomlessheart: (smiling)

[personal profile] bottomlessheart 2013-10-16 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. [He gives a quiet nod.] As a prince, I need a princess to bring back to my kingdom. And... I can think of no person whom I would prefer more than Rue.

[He gives a light, warm smile.]

I am... in love with her.
jamesbarnes: (considering it)

[personal profile] jamesbarnes 2013-10-17 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[Bucky glances up at her. This is not funny, Natasha.

Although his expression turns confused and thoughtful at that.]

...I believe that, kid, I do. [Or this conversation would be going very differently.] But you're both still pretty young to be thinkin' about kingdoms.

Or of going anywhere. [Natasha agrees, ignoring Bucky's chiding look because even if it isn't funny, it's still rather adorable.]

Have you spoken to Rue about any of this? Is she aware of your thinking?
soheartless: (prince - pleasent)

[personal profile] soheartless 2013-10-20 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't understand. I thought that I was old enough to choose a princess... [He looks down with a frown.]

I have not, yet. I have been preparing to ask her. I only thought that it was proper... to ask her parents first.
jamesbarnes: (listen here)

[personal profile] jamesbarnes 2013-10-23 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[Bucky continues to not be adorable.]

That might be true where you're from, but you both have a lot of growing to do - together, if that's what makes her happy. And if you're gonna have anything to do with my daughter, your first priority is gonna be to make her happy, you understand?

You don't need to rush into this stuff just as soon as you're old enough.

[At this point, they're both being adorable and Natasha's watching them both with a hint of fondness in the curve of her lips.]

It is proper, even though I think this place has it's own way of doing things that don't strictly fit any one of our pasts. And I suspect she'll be delighted when you do ask her. [To put it mildly.]
