[Guess who else is people-watching? She's always been a bit of a people-watcher; old habits die hard (especially when those old habits have been beat into you at an early age.) She's staked out a place on the beach for herself, a bit away from the beaten path and stays here for a good long while.

Watching. Waiting. Trying to convince herself that no one out there is carrying some horrible disease ready to annihilate them all. (She has no idea where these thoughts keep coming from but they're there. Always. It's starting to drive her a little batty.)

When she sees him, she doesn't get up to go greet him right away. No sense in interrupting. It isn't until she's ready to leave that she saunters told him, hand held up in a small wave.

Seems rude to leave without saying hello to the guy who was her brother once, right?]
