Daisy just grinned. Not out of gleeful sadism, or at least not in the way Ami would expect. "Do you want to know what happened?"
........
She moved closer to Ami, held her head, and whispered in her ear as if it was a secret even adults should have been forbidden from knowing.
"They didn't believe him."
And stood back. Narrating as normal.
"They thought he was crazy. The people at the party thought he was nutty mouthing off someone that had known for so long, so the guards escorted him out of the dinner. They even put him in a straightjacket and all! One man said: 'We're sorry, so very, very sorry for that man's behavior, Mister Bearington.'"
"And Bearington said: 'ROAWR.', and shrugged."
She giggled.
"Nobody knew he was a bear. But the problem was, sometimes he didn't feel happy that he spent too long pretending he was a human."
