All we want to do is eat your brains
Who: Jack Holden, Simon Lauchlan, Eugene Woods, Sam Yao, and anyone they can tempt in
What: Basically a slumber party
When: November 1st afternoon and evening
Where: One of the villas in Luceti's housing area
Summary: Luceti's residents of Abel Township have landed themselves under house arrest. But even if they can't go to the parties, who's to say they can't bring the party to them? (Or at least some takeout, geez, this punishment thing is hungry work.)
Rating: PG? It's just some post-zombie-apocalypse dudes and their houseguests, it's not really gonna be racy.
Maybe Halloween Land hadn't been the best destination for a small cluster of survivors of the zombie apocalypse.
In their defense, they hadn't known when they'd walked in that literal zoms would be all over the place. Even as placid as the things were, all it took were a few too many of the shambling dead in one place, strained nerves and the wrong line of conversation, and one poorly-timed jumpscare to set off the powder keg of their collective neuroses and send them sprinting for the nearest defensible position between them and the exits. And sure, all weapons had been taken to the battle dome. But where they came from, all that defined a weapon was a favourable combination of weight, length, sharpness, and maximum velocity. Where they came from, they'd all learned a few behaviours on an instinctual level.
It was sort of lucky, actually, that they only had managed to get themselves landed under house arrest for the remainder of the day. It meant that they still had contact with the outside world - or at least the portions of it that wandered close enough to the open windows.

Poor baby.

You must have gotten your wording confused.

No, I don't think I did.
no subject
Do you really want me to fling something in your direction, Zombie Boy? Because I tend to prefer shooting.

Kate finds herself smiling, inching just a little bit closer.]
Do you really think I'm the kind to miss?

Ever want to do something really, really stupid?
no subject
Frequently. This is me you're talking to.

It makes her wonder what else he'd be good at.]
Um. [Oh god, Katie, what are you doing?] Do you act on it?
no subject
[His lips quirk then and he leans a little closer, letting his arm slide down to rest against her shoulders. It's almost like how they'd been sitting in the tunnel of love ride.]
You can't blame this one on the Malnosso if you do, though.
no subject
[And she had been quick to blame them, too. To tell Simon off and yell at him for talking her into going on the stupid ride to begin with. Okay, so Kate knew it wasn't his fault. But it's not her fault if she has issues with having her emotions toyed with. Okay. Maybe it is.
She smiles a little, ignoring the butterflies springing up in her stomach when he places his arm around her shoulder. She continues to smile at him, the tip of her tongue darting out to lick her lips.]
I won't punch you, either.
no subject
[He doesn't miss the slide of her tongue, the movement drawing his eyes. It's a sign of nerves or maybe something else. They're supposed to be watching the movie, but at the moment, Simon doesn't give a damn and he's pretty sure between that and with how dark the room is, no one else isn't paying attention to them either. Not that he really cares, but she might. He doesn't lean in to close the distance, not just yet, drawing this moment out, giving her a chance to change her mind. If she's going to think better of it, she better do it now. In the meantime, his other hand comes up to slide calloused fingertips along her jaw, tilting her face up towards him.]
no subject
So, closing her eyes and forgetting everyone else in the room with them, she closes the gap between them and presses her lips firmly against Simon's.]
no subject
They'd done this in the boat ride, but that had been... different. This was them, all them, and he was curious about what she would do now. Although whatever it was, he'd happily encourage it. Especially if it was more of this.]
no subject
Maybe... But dammit, now is so not the time to care.
Kate kisses him slowly, leisurely. She takes her time, enjoying every second of the contact. When she finally breaks for breath, Kate rests her forehead against his. She can barely hear the movie now, hear anything but the sound of her heart pounding.]
So, um. [Oh god. She's really going to do this, isn't she?] Wanna do something really stupid with me, Zombie Boy?
no subject
What, here?
[He's teasing her, but his gaze flits around the living room and okay maybe they're not being as inconspicuous about this as they could be but someone's going to notice sooner or later. Was she okay with that?]
no subject
[She laughs a little, both amused and nervous. Here would be bad. They've already kissed in front of their friends and Kate's almost positive that either Billy or Teddy must have noticed. Which means the other will know in only a matter of time. They're sitting close to Sam. It's too crowded here.
But if she's going to be stupid, she might as well go all the way. Right, Bishop?
Kate steals another lingering kiss.] I was thinking, y'know, we could... move it, um, in the bedroom?
no subject
Is that what you want?
no subject
It's time for Kate to face her demons, too.
She nods.]
Yeah. Yeah, it is. [Kate bites her lip for a moment and glances away, feeling her cheeks flush a little.] Would you want it?
