[The dancing helps clear up any mood Jean had lingering over the disappointing reaction to her Christmas gift. It's all too easy to remember the dances she'd been to with Duncan; Noooot a lot of dancing going on there. And what little dancing there was involved a lot of crushed toes. Regardless; it's nice to dance with a guy who actually seems to know how to dance, and at least appears to want to.
She keeps up the dancing for a few songs, never really pulling away from his touch, enjoying the confidence of his touch-- no hover hands here, no sir! She sometimes dances closer, more in his space, and sometimes a bit further away, but always with an eye towards him.
