The more weapons they handle, the more dubious he feels about them, particularly the larger rifles. They might work easily on the ground, but because of their weight and size he wonders how well they'd really work.

"The mechanism for operating the gear is in the handle of the blades. We can't use the gear and shoot at the same time."
