I'm afraid that it has been raging on, and it seems it's been for quite some time in this world's history. It will go on after this battle ends and we're returned to Luceti, most likely. I may have lived through several wars, but that has only taught me that the nature of war is unpredictable - in when and how they begin as much as when and how they end.
Not to mention... that there's too many unknown variables about the world outside the enclosure. There seems to be much more to the war than what the Malnosso will show us, and until we have more facts, we can't know for sure what the future of this war may look like.
