Birthday Bash June 23rd | Evening
Who: Eugene, Max, and the inhabitants of House 51 and their invitees
What: A birthday party summons for Eugene and Max
When: June 23rd, evening
Where: House 51
Summary: After the events of the draft finally settling, it's time to get life back to normal.
Rating: PG-13 for drinking and swearing.
It was finally time to admit to himself that he was no longer in the club of twenty-somethings, which was a shame, really... but he wasn't going to lie to himself any longer. At least he wasn't alone, and Max could share in the not-quite-misery with him.
Something needed to unify people, something positive, and maybe this could help to begin settling nerves and getting life back to normal. So Eugene sends out a few invitations, even to the residents of his own home with a soft grin.
There were things that they could do to entertain themselves without much prep. Plenty of booze, board games, and even some baking that could be done. It didn't have to be something all-out as it was last year (no one could ever top a rave party for their birthday) but he wanted to party. So upon arrival, the smell of baking and cooking would be the first thing to greet them, before Eugene, of course.

He grins, then leans in to whisper, lips bumping against Eugene's ear because he can't stand steady:]
That one's the truth.

[Screw using the shot glass, he took this straight from the bottle. It was shared between he and Loki anyway.]
Okay.... okay. Uh... Wait, you desused... you seduced someone as a woman?
[The possibilities flooded his mind now, and the nuance from before suddenly hit him hard. It was comical how his eyes widened]
But without the... [Now here was the crude gesturing of breasts and hips with his hands making the shape over himself]

Oh no. When I shapeshift, it's all there.
[He leans in to whisper:] I have nice breasts when I do that you know. Pert little...little handfuls.

[His face promptly warmed. It wasn't the only place, but the only one he was going to admit. That image that conjured in his mind was staggering, and he felt dizzy from it. All that blood going somewhere else]
Must be... nice.
[The world was doing a nice bit of swaying, so he turned and buried his face against Loki's hair, just breathing]
T'look... however y'want...
[Okay, so he was maybe nuzzling him, breathing soft and warm against him]

So close. When did they get so close? And Eugene is nicely warm. He likes that. He's a bit too drunk to even pretend to have self control. He's been attracted to the man for a while, and it's all to easy to just lean against him in a long line and enjoy that.
Second thoughts will probably come much later, around the time the hangover arrives.]

[There was a very good reason why he shouldn't, why this was going to be something he'd regret, but right now as far as his logic was concerned, it was his birthday and he'd have what he wanted]

[He didn't bother to wait for an answer, just did what he was going to ask, barred for a moment when his nose ran into Loki's, but he adjusted to compensate, sealing his lips over the other man's.]

[Of course you do. Because who wouldn't?
Some rational part of Loki knows that this is the worst of all possible things he could do. That part of him is almost entirely muffled under a thick layer of alcohol. He's never been good at denying himself what he wants; only when it's a step to having it in the long term, or to accomplishing some other goal.
And it feels good. It always feels good, on a physical level. And even more so, when it's a kiss with someone that you like on a deep level. (Rogue had taught him that, and still did, daily.)
(And there's another part of him that says why shouldn't he? He loves few enough people as it is. He should take every bit that he can.)
He manages a soft little laugh at the awkwardness of noses, but then he's far to distracted by what they're actually doing. He smooths his fingers back to tangle in Eugene's hair, and then he makes it as thorough and toe-curling of a kiss as he can. He's damned anyway, he might as well enjoy it. And this might be the last taste of Eugene he ever gets.
It seems like such a good idea at the time. But anything does, given enough alcohol.]

[For such a drunken kiss, he had expected something much sloppier and instead got something much more than that. It was exciting, unfamiliar but not in a way considered unpleasant, and he answered in kind with his own-- stepping up to the plate and leaning into Loki while those fingers tangled in his hair. If anything, when he tried to break away mid-kiss, laugh muffled by lips chasing his, was when it got sloppy. But he'd nearly knocked over the mead Loki had given him, and that would be a downight tragedy in front of the man.]
Ah--mm-- wai--mmph.
[He righted the mead, purposefully set it firmly away before gripping Loki's hair to tug him away.]
Wait a minute this is exactly... not... [There was a reason why even if it was his birthday he shouldn't be having this.]

He licks his lips, then smiles crookedly.]
Don't like your surprise gift?
[He laughs unsteadily, stroking his thumb through Eugene's hair. He wishes he could see, to know how the man was looking at him. Is this about to be horribly embarrassing?]

Still, the suspicion had snuck its way into his brain and while he didn't act upon it, it did sober him up a little. Marginally. He'd never pass a sobriety test, anyway. And he's surprised a little at how the kiss intensifies when he readjusts his grip on Loki's hair behind his ears.]

[He's smiling against Loki's lips, figuring that he had actually caught Loki good on that one]

[He made to demonstrate as he asked, a little dazed, but... satisfied with the way his lips felt. Tingly and well-worked, but now he was distracted with trying to distract Loki. It made sense in his head, and it was fun]

[Jack was an unexpected, but not unwelcome addition. He recognized those bony joints anywhere and was entirely too drunk and pleased to let a little elbowing get him in a bad mood. Still, he had to adjust so that he didn't faceplant in Jack's hair, struggling to sit up straighter]

[There was seriousness interjected into his tone, not knowing why, but it was... well, important. For some reason]

[Even though he had an unfair advantage of knowing... a good deal of Jack's stories. He grinned and rested his chin on Jack's shoulder, comfortable with the company. ]
