what's a date between friends?
Who: Gold (
mischiefbreeder) & Crystal (
capturespecialist)
What:A date An outing. Between two very good friends. Involving food and merriment (mostly).
When: July 6th I guess. It's a good day.
Where:falling in love at a Coffeeshop! And maybe some other places, we'll see.
Summary: Crystal's just making good on her promise to treat Gold to something because she sniped one of his mentor offers and felt bad about it, okay. Also there might be some tough words about her actions lately...
Rating: We're kid-friendly here at Lucetilogs dot dreamwidth dot org.
[Like most days, Crystal's without her last two teammates. There's a reason for that though! (Not like there haven't been very good reasons every other time, but --)
They'd stand out in Luceti's own coffeeshop. Besides, it's just supposed to be her and Gold. It's her treat for him (though it'd work a lot better as a treat if she could actually pay for the meal) to make up for snagging Evan, even if he might've not taken up her mentor on his hand-to-hand offer.
...and the coffeeshop might be an excuse for her to get some nice coffee and chase off the tiredness brought about by last night's nightmare. It's nice to get out of the house without going out for training, and it's nice to spend time with friends, and it's nice to have a decent iced latte. All of it's left her smiling wider than she's been allowing herself to do all month, and she's more than happy to direct it at Gold.]
Sorry this [motioning around] isn't much of a treat. I couldn't think of anything else... well, I thought about cooking for you instead, but I don't think my food's quite up to par with Cilan's.
[Her mind's otherwise been on practice practice practice. Bringing him up to the mountains to show off to him? Doesn't sound like a great treat idea.]

But it just makes her guilty when it's used in this context. She knows he doesn't mean to - Gold's only trying to cheer her up and reassure her of her own abilities - but she's experienced enough to think the word's not quite as applicable when it comes to dealing with pokémon.]
I don't think -- [Wait. That's not fair. She should try, at least. He's being nice enough to offer to help her, because he knows - or thinks he knows - she's better than this. Even if it's not gonna solve her problems, she shouldn't turn down one of the best friends she's ever had.
She exhales through her nose. Okay.]
Sure. I wouldn't mind.

Well. It's gotten cold anyway, and cold coffee's kind of gross, so all right.]
You sure we'll be able to get a room? [She's still standing up though.] From what I've heard, it gets really packed really quick.

[And she's ready to follow wherever he goes. She'll ... dump her coffee away on the way out, okay, she's not carrying something cold around.]

Of course, to know what I'm workin' with here... I'm gonna need to ask you a few questions, Crys. Sorry about this. [That apology should probably make it clear to her just what he's about to ask.]
