[Jinora was the one to lead him 'home' after showing him around Luceti. And it was still a lot to take in.

More than that, though, there were people in the building that he'd blatantly lied to and he had no place to run off to or anyone to really hide behind to deflect the questions and glares.

Oops?]

This could be YOU Kai.

[lordhotman]

[When they get there, Zuko is outside, skinning and cutting up his latest kill. A buck with a set of antlers that are still in velvet.

The deer hanging from a tree like Sokka had showed him as he does the work.

Zuko has a large bloody blade in his hand when he turns a baleful glare on Kai.]

What is he doing here?

[bisons]

[Kai returned the glare and crossed his arms, puffing himself up to look like he wasn't intimidated at all. His wings tucked tightly against his back betraying him as they had all day.]

I'm going to be living here. Jinora said I could.

[And clearly Jinora trumped everyone else.]

[spiritwalking]

[With the tour of the village over, it was time to bring him home. Don't mind the giant stone statue of Sokka's face in the front and there's been earthbending in the back to hold a full-grown Sky Bison.

She takes him inside for now though and instantly a green dragonfly bunny spirit zooms up to them.] This is Furry-Foot, he came here with me.

[bisons]

[Kai grinned at the spirit.]

It's a bunny spirit. Sort of. Hi furry-foot! I'm Kai.

[Aang will be waiting for Kai on the upper room of the second floor, sitting cross-legged on the ground. Time to make a better impression, maybe? When he sees Kai, he'll pat the space near him on the ground.]

Kai! Hey! Over here.

[lordhotman]

[Zuko now points the blade in Kai's direction.]

Jinora isn't the only one that lives here! You need to get permission from all of us, including me!

[bisons]

No I don't. Jinora and I are both Air Nomads. We stick together. And anyway, I don't need your permission for anything.

[The blade pointing at him wasn't exactly the ideal situation, but he was far enough away that he felt he could get away with a few well-placed air blasts if he needed to.]

[bisons]

[With everything that had happened, everything he'd learned, Kai's excitement in exploring the house wilted at the sight of Aang sitting and seemingly waiting for him. His wings snapped tightly against his back and his shoulders hunched. He didn't really care about having talked back and insulted an Avatar. Avatars were people like anyone else.

But Aang was family, in a way. Jinora's family. Tenzin's family. Bumi's family.

...family to Kai's new family.

Kai felt guilty. He hated feeling guilty.

With his eyes downcast and on the floor, he slowly made his way to the spot Aang had indicated and sat himself down. His eyes remained elsewhere and his shoulders remained up as he looked rather like he was about to bolt at the first opportunity.]

Hi.

[lordhotman]

[Zuko's scowl deepens and he puts the knife down and approaches Kai.]

You're no Air Nomad. Aang and his family are the only ones left.

[And he definitely didn't look like he was related to them.]

[bisons]

[Kai narrowed his eyes at the other man, unfolding his arms as one leg pulled back. He was clearly getting into a defensive stance.

A very aggressive defensive stance.]

I am too and Air Nomad! You should shut up about stuff you don't know about. And back off.

[lordhotman]

[Zuko keeps himself a few feet from Kai, but he hardly backs down.]

I know plenty! My own great grandfather destroyed them and the balance in the world. One of my best friends was the last survivor! How DARE you pretend to be one of them!

[Iroh will be preparing some food, which might be rather spicy to people who aren't accustomed to Fire Nation cuisine, but its toned down. You can also find him later at the Pai Sho table, happy to play a few games]

[bisons]

I'm not pretending anything! So. BACK. OFF.

[Kai yelled it loudly as he sent the strongest airblast he could muster straight into Zuko's chest.]

[spiritwalking]

[Suddenly there's shouting outside the house - and it's not Uncle Sokka for whatever reason he's felt the need to raise his voice for. No, it's Lord Zuko and Kai.

Then there's airbending and Jinora's moving towards it. She moves to stand between it and Zuko. With a counterattack of wind, it turns the whole area into nothing more than a light breeze. Even with the attack gone Jinora continues to stand between the two males to prevent either of them from striking with her in the way.]

Both of you please stop fighting. [Her voice is raised only slightly to inform them both that she's serious.]

[lordhotman]

[And then suddenly airbending. But before Zuko can get hit or react to it, Jinora's suddenly in the way. And Zuko just stands there with a stunned look on his face, clearly not having expected that at all.

He looks down at Jinora and then back at Kai. Apparently he's been struck speechless at the moment.]

[spiritwalking]

[The spirit flies around Kai's head for a moment before sitting on it. Yep, he likes this human.]

I've been calling him a dragonfly bunny spirit and he doesn't seem to mind it.

[bisons]

[With Jinora between them, there wasn't much Kai could do. He relaxed his stance and put his arms up behind his head. He pretended to dismiss Zuko as he spoke to Jinora.]

This is a nice place. Not as fancy as the houses in Ba Sing Se, but not as empty as the temple dorms. Which side is the girls side and which side is the boys?

[The house has never been livelier than it was right now - not that Jinora's been here at least. First Asami showed up, then Korra and now a boy named Kai. It's great to have everyone she cares for (or could come to care for in the future) under one roof. There are plenty of rooms for everyone too. Jinora always wondered if the empty rooms ever belonged to someone else. If they didn't before, they do now.

After having brought Kai back, Jinora is all over the place. First brewing tea in the kitchen or out back feeding Appa some apples or even further away from the house where there were Air Gates built.

There are more airbenders in the future. She can't believe it! More! It's all she can think about as she moves through the spinning gates.]

[Iroh smiles when he sees Jinora brewing some tea. She was a very different person than her sister. That much was very clear. There was a great maturity here, in time she would become a master airbender, of that he was certain.]

Hello Jinora, mind if I join you for a cup of tea?

[spiritwalking]

[With Zuko stunned and Kai no longer looking like he was going to attack, Jinora let herself relax too. She looks over at Zuko apologetically.]

You've been to Ba Sing Se?

[Oh, that's right. If he was living at one of the Air Temples then he'd be used to different wings being boys and girls. Technically they were kind of living like that here.]

The boys are upstairs. It's not as big as the temples so it doesn't take much for it to not feel empty.

[lordhotman]

[Zuko quickly gets over it as he realizes what's happening.]

Jinora!

[His voice is stern, and he's trying to keep his anger in check.]

You can't just bring strangers here without asking everyone's permission first.

[bisons]

[Kai let out a boisterous laugh and reached up to pet Furry-Foot.]

He likes me!

[spiritwalking]

[To be honest, Jinora was very different from both of her younger siblings. Only Rohan had yet to reveal how he was so she wasn't sure if they were alike or not. When she hears Iroh's voice, she turns towards him and returns the smile.]

I wouldn't mind at all. Do you have a suggestion to what we should drink?

[bisons]

[Kai smirked, already thinking fast.]

Avatar Korra wants me to stay with Avatar Aang, too.

[No, Korra hadn't said that exact thing, but she had really insisted on Aang being Aang and for Kai to get to know him. So, same difference.]
