[That's her two cents about it, though she doesn't really know if she should come with. Maybe it'd be better up here. At the very least, she could keep Gyarados company? And to stay away from the shifts more.]

For what reason are you moving the mountain sides in such a way? It seems rather counteractive to our purpose...

[Though it might uncover some ore, now that she thinks about it.]

[Shifts...? Yes, he's heard about those wrecking havoc. It's riskier than ever now, considering their circumstances being thrust into the past, but again, it's not his problem. He's content staying on this spec of land so long as his power isn't contained.

He doesn't recognize the woman, though. What is Silver doing bringing someone else along?] Who is she?

[...Huh- right. Right. Dad doesn't know about anything about his life.]

This is Hilda. She's one of my friends. We're exploring together since it's safer in numbers.

[Hilda curtsies, studying the man. He seems rather gruff. And rudeish. But in that distrustful sort of way, like her people. How does Silver know him?]

It is a pleasure to meet you sir, though the circumstances are not my favorite by far. May I ask that you allow us to join you? If that would be alright with you as well, Silver.

[hotboss]

[Join...him...?

Giovanni shoots a look at Silver. Are those really Silver's wishes or is this girl just being as overly polite as she sounds?]

[Oh goodness no don't suggest that Hilda he's not going to-

Well... Maybe...]

If you're not too busy training. [Um. He turns to Hilda.] This is my dad. He used to be Viridian City's gym leader. [Don't bring up Team Rocket. That's the message his eyes seem to send.]

[... Oh. Oh. Ooohhh. Hilda nods, carefully climbing down Gyarados and patting him gently - thank you, take a rest - so she can see Silver's dad properly.]

So this is where you get your height. It isn't just a pleasure, but an honor to meet you, sir. [Mostly. She's a little wary, not only of Giovanni but his pretty fearsome Nidoking, though she'll smile. The latter of whom she kind of wants to ask about too.] Your creature must be very strong, to move the mountains so.

[Giovanni's heel skids back, churning up dust and pebbles and looking at Silver even harder now. Nidoking looks just as perplexed, rubbing his clawed hands together nervously. What.

It's not anything anyone is supposed to say out loud. And for the boy to mention it so casually to some person - how many other people know at this point?

If Hilda thought he might seem a little rude at first glance, he's definitely reinforcing that now, ignoring her presence to focus on Silver.]

[He's a little confused at the curt reaction, but not completely. There are things about this version of his father that are very different from his own- he can tell that straight away- and whatever he is to him is one of them.

But what's he supposed to do, call him the leader of Team Rocket or act like he's some stranger? It's a lot easier to pretend he's less of a shady guy than he actually is.]

His Nidoking's the strongest I've ever seen. There's a reason why he's an expert on ground types.

[At least she knows where Silver gets his steadfast silences from now. Though his big sister had a better hand in raising him... Judging by things, it was absolutely the introduction that got him.

Okay, let's try again.]

If it would settle you any, sir, Silver is one of my close friends and I have been rather curious about you. He would not introduce you as such to just anyone.

[She thinks. Though introducing him as the leader of Team Rocket might've been worse.]

[hotboss]

[Nidoking perks up a bit. Strongest he's ever seen? Why, yes, he is, thanks for noticing! Did you hear that, Giovanni?

He finally breaks his gaze to glance over the girl...Hilda, she said. And her statement is a little settling, though he'll still want a better idea of exactly how many people are running around here with that kind of knowledge. It's jarring to hear after spending years of preventing anyone outside the Team from knowing.

Alright, fine. He'll speak.] You're not running those fetch errands, are you?

[feistytrader]

[Fetch errands. Of course his dad doesn't care about them.

But at least the silence has broken a little.] If we run into something useful on the way, we'll take it back with us. If not, that's fine too.

[sosayi]

[Whoo, she's very quietly relieved. His voice and face match up really well too.]

I had the thought that perhaps you and your companion may have uncovered something with your... training, was it? I would like to look around if you both deem it safe.

[So uh. He and Silver can talk. Because it seems they need to?]

[hotboss]

[It's not his call if she wants to wander around. Very little seems like a threat here - at least to him.

...So if she gets to go then he can go, right.]

Go ahead. Take Gyarados with you. I'll catch up in a minute.

[You know, when he's done talking to his dad.]

[That's what she thought. She nods and hesitates for a moment, patting Silver's shoulder gently before going back to Gyarados. Hi buddy, we're going exploring a bit. Let's find cool things.]

[hotboss]

[Not what he was hoping to do, but so be it. He waits until Gyarados soars up and away from them, well out of earshot, before speaking.]

[feistytrader]

Know what? That you're evil, try to bury people in holes, or don't know how to talk to people?

[hotboss]

[Don't give him that sass, boy.] People have died for knowing too much.

I'm being serious. I've got no clue what you think too much is. [Or what parts dad does and doesn't want people to know.]

[He turns away and rummages through his coat, looking for...damn, nothing. The lack of tobacco here is such a hindrance.] It's supposed to be for your own good.

Telling a couple of people that you're my dad isn't going to be bad for me. No one even cares about Team Rocket here anyway.

Besides, if anyone's gonna hurt me for being related to Team Rocket, it's gonna be your own executives, not my friends.

What do you think happened to my eyes? Petrel poisoned and paralyzed me and tried to pin it on the other Executives so you'd favor him.
