He's right, of course. Even with how little he knows about his father, he knows that his father is very different from this man.

You're right. Sorry for wasting your time. [And with that, he turns in the direction that Hilda and Gyarados went off in. Maybe he should have argued and picked a fight, but... he doesn't have it in him. Not here. Not now.]

It's a rare instance indeed to watch Silver go first instead of the other way around. He feels Nidoking nudging a bit with his arm, but Giovanni won't go towards him. It's time to go. Training at their fullest is more important now.]

[Hilda thinks she might've found some of the ore they're supposed to be looking for, but she's not entirely sure. It is a very pretty rock though. That dad of Silver's surely was useful... Maybe they could travel together after all. Though the idea makes her kind of uneasy - he hadn't been the most talkative and was rather rude to both of them.

[Gyarados thinks... That he hears Silver coming, so he turns his head in his direction.

Dad isn't with him, huh? What happened? Gyarados pokes his face in Silver's space and receives gentle petting for his efforts.]

He decided not to join us? I was not expecting him to, in all honesty, as he seemed to be a little rougher around the edges than I imagined, but... You do not seem well. Is everything alright?

[Everything's not alright, but Silver's not really sure where to start with it. Gyarados grumbles in concern, but Silver can't do anything other than pet him.]

[Silver might get around to it, maybe... And it isn't like pushing at the issue will help, so Hilda puts the potential goodie into her bag and takes his hand. They're doing more ground work.]

Regardless of our previous encounter, I must say that his training has been fruitful for us. I feel sorry for those that live here... but there are many things which may be found beneath the surface. Like a hole that seems to lead into the very bowls of the planet we stand on.

I believe it will be harder getting up than down. It is not a straight drop, but it seems to be rather steep. We could simply slide down.

[Though that's dangerous.]

That sounds like a great way to break something.

[Surely they can figure out a safer way down than that...]

Nonsense. We will simply use what we have to our advantage. Weavile may make a slide of ice for us to skate down.
