What: A festival
When: Um...yesterday? ^^;
Where: Near the tea shop
Summary: Katara has set up a festival of sorts to keep the kids' minds off of their situation.
Rating: G-PG max. C'mon, it's for the kids!
Katara stood back to admire her work. The area in front of the tea shop was laden with warm, summery colors and had a few makeshift stages scattered about. Everything was ready to go as soon as people started arriving.

She nodded "You said you could help too, right?"

"Yeah!", he cried out, pretty excited.

"Anything you need me to help out with?"

"The food still has to be brought out from the tea shop." She gestured toward the vibrantly decorated storefront with one door propped open.

"Okay, got it!", he exclaimed, taking notice of the colorful shop very quickly.

He proceeded into the tea shop to complete the objective.

Inside the tea shop were dishes of various kinds of food ranging from food resembling east Asian meals to some stuff only people from the Water Tribe would recognise as food.

Stahn stares at the dishes scattered on the tables within the tea shop. Some were quite familiar to him; Rice-based dishes, fish-based dishes, and even some other common foods... But some of them seemed truly odd to him. He had never seen anything like it back home. But, no matter. Stahn would probably enjoy it all the same if he ate any of it.

He grabbed two nearby trays, and began loading plates onto them.

Katara came in herself and, after taking a quick bite of what looked to be perfectly round prunes floating in some kind of purple liquid in a large bowl, also began loading dishes onto trays.

(Heh...feel sorry for anyone who tries that one.)

Stahn picked up two of the loaded trays, and began carrying them outside. Thankfully, being a farmboy has its advantages, such as being strong.

Waterbenders, however, were not trained for strength. While she could carry a tray out easily, she decided that it would be better to load more trays so that Stahn could return for more.

Good thing she's helping to load up trays, then, as it speeds up the amount of time needed to complete this task.

Soon, Stahn returned, hands empty (And possibly a bit of food in his mouth, as he snuck a small taste), to grab two more loaded trays, courtesy of Katara.

One of said trays had the prune-soup like dish that Katara had tasted sitting on it. While Katara was generally a decent cook, those were...an aquired taste to say the least.

Stahn takes notice of the prune-soup. It has a rather... interesting smell, to say the least. However, Stahn will likely avoid this dish... At least for now.

And so, he carried the two trays outside to where the rest of the food was.

While Stahn was carrying the tray, Katara had finished the last one and started making various fruit juices.

Stahn returned to grab the last tray, while Katara began making the fruit juices. They smelled quite good, to be honest. Better than some of the food, I'd imagine.

Stahn grabs the last tray, and proceeds outside. Honestly, it's surprising he hasn't eaten everything, yet.

She had planned for the appetites of kids and pre-teens. She follows him out with a bowl of fruit punch and sets it on the long table with the rest of the food.

He places the final tray down on the table. He then steps back, getting a full view of the spread, before giving a satisfactory nod.

They did good.

"Not bad." Katara nodded, her wings fluttering slightly in satasfaction. She looked at the boy who had helped her "Thanks."

Stahn smiled at Katara. "No problem!"

"Are you planning on staying around?"

"Yeah, probably. I said I'd help out, after all. And it's the Aileron family motto to always help those in need!", Stahn proudly claimed.

"Most of the setup work's done now. Unless you'd like to help entertain the kids, there isn't much left to do."
