Summary: Orihime offered to show Magus her ShunShun Rikka and he offered to show off some of his magic.

Orihime closed her notebook and stashed it away. Running a brush quickly through her hair before she slipped from her room. She couldn't figure out why she felt so excited and nervous at the same time. Maybe it was because she hadn't tried to use her abilities since her arrival.

The auburn haired girl waited patiently outside the building she now called home as she waited for Magus. When she first talked to him he seemed a little scary but now she didn't think so. He actually seemed really nice! Kind of like some of the Arrancar...although they were still rough with her.

Orihime nods and does so, watching him curiously. She didn't know what to expect but she was excited none the less.

She let out a gasp as the fire shot forth and melted the ice. She watched, mouth hanging open, eyes wide. She'd only seen magic like that back in Soul Society. "That's amazing! Its just like the kido Shinigami use!"

Magus couldn't help but grin widely at her response. He wondered how she'd have reacted if he'd been at full power. "Kido, hmm? I've never heard of that style. This is Zeal-type magic. You take the forces of nature around you and you call on them to do what you ask. It's all a matter of willpower. That and what type of magic you have an aptitude for... There's light, fire, ice, and shadow. I can do all four."

"Kido is very similar only there are more types. AT least that's what I've been told." she explained, still amazed at his display. "You can do more than just that? That's amazing!"

"More types? That's a lot of versatility. And oh yes, plenty more. Watch this one... Ice two!" And with that, a few large chunks of ice slammed into the spot he had just thawed out, refreezing it.

"Yes, for all the elements plus some that aren't elements...I guess. I'm not sure." She watched, once again wide eyed as the once frozen then thawed lake froze again.

"I wonder if I could learn stuff like that."

Magus lifted his hand to his chin in contemplation of that. "Well, it's part training, part natural aptitude. I don't think you can learn my style, since we aren't from the same world... What about that Kido you mentioned? You could try to learn that, couldn't you?"

"Ah. Maybe. But the only person I know here that could teach me is Kuchiki-san. I guess I could ask her." She thinks quietly for a moment before she remember once again what day it is.

"Oh! That's right I was going to make chocolates for everyone I've talked to! I wonder if I can find what I need in some of the shops."

"It's something to keep in mind."

"Chocolates? You know how to make them?" He lifted an eyebrow in interest. He'd never been enamored of chocolates himself, but both Schala and Marle had loved them, so he'd gotten rather familiar with the taste. He'd never thought to make any of his own though.

"Mhmm! Its not that hard. I actually do a lot of cooking since I live alone." she replied cheerfully.

"You too, hmm?" he asked, giving her a once over. Poor girl couldn't have been older than sixteen. "How long has it been?"

Orihime thought for a moment, it felt like much longer than it had been since her brother had died. "Six years now...Nii-san died not long after I turned ten." she looks down, clasping her hands together over her chest before she looks up again, a soft smile on her face. "But I know he's in a better place now and he got to say goodbye to me. He wasn't mad because of the fight we had had."

She raises a hand and brushes her fingers again one of the hair clips. "He was the one that gave these to me. I wasn't alone though, he looked after me and I had Tatsuki-chan as well. Oh...I'm sure she's really worried about me."

"Ah, so you had an older sibling to look out for you as well..." he looked off into the distance, sighing softly. "I haven't seen my sister for twenty years now."

"Tatsuki-chan? A friend?"

"Yes. I don't really remember my parents but Nii-san said they weren't very nice." The auburn haired girl made her way over and placed a hand on his arm staying silent for a moment before she spoke again.

"Mhhm. She kept the bullies away from me and taught me karate. She's really strong and kind."

"My father passed away when I was young. My mother was kind... until something awful happened to her mind. By the time we were separated, she wasn't the woman who had raised Schala and me anymore..." He shook his head, but blinked at the feel of her hand on his arm. It brought a little smile to his face.

"Bullies, hmm? I can see how getting some martial arts training would have been helpful."

A small frown appeared on her face as he spoke. "How sad..." she said softly, giving his arm a bit of a squeeze. She couldn't imagine such a thing.

"They picked on me because of my hair...they even cut it off. But that was so long ago I don't have to worry about them anymore."

He shook his head. "No worse than your story, really."

"Your hair? That's quite possibly the stupidest reason to attack someone I've ever heard... and heard quite a few."

"Well...my hair is a bit of an unnatural color back home. Tatsuki-chan said they were just jealous."

"Heh. They'd have been downright horrified by mine." He laughed, tucking a few strands of stray blue-white behind his ears.

"I think your hair is lovely, Magus-san." she replied with a smile, which disappears as soon as she realized what she had said. "Oh! I mean..." She covers her mouth with both hands, blushing.

He just laughed again. "It runs in the family. My sister's is much nicer looking though." He turned and gave her a little smirk. "For that matter, yours is quite nice in my eyes." He wasn't quite certain why he was saying these things, but Magus was hardly going to get flustered about it.

Orihime's blush deepened at his compliment. She ducked her head and looked down at her feet. "Th-thank you."

His smirk widened a little. The girl was pretty cute when she blushed... actually, she was just cute in general. The blush did help though.

She chanced a peek up at him through her bangs, only to feel her cheeks burn more. She looked back down again and took a breath before she finally turned her face back up to him.

"So shall we head back and make some chocolates?"

He chuckled a little at her blush, then gave her a quick nod. "Sure. I've never made them before though. Don't know how much use I'll be."

"I can teach you. But first we need to see if any of the shops have what is needed."
