[A Town Meeting for how to handle the situation. No doubt people will come and speak up about things in turn. Despite the fact that I'm posting with Scorpius he's obviously not the one organizing it. There's an OOC Plotting Post here.

This post will have two subthreads mostly for quick and easy organizational purposes - one to put aside the proposing of ideas or questions, ICly (if you want to not write out the whole thing ICly you could just put up an OOC description of what they're doing. and then a second for mingling which isn't necessarily publicly proposing some big idea or question

[More than anything, Beast's presence is here to prove his support for the village instead of the Malnosso. He may speak up if he feels he can add something, but mostly he will be huddled in a corner wrapped up in his cloak listening intently.]

[ She wasn't one to usually involve herself in this kind of thing. Before, to her, this place wasn't anything to her. Over time, though, it began to feel more and more like...a second home. And so whatever consequences the Malnosso spoken of bothered her. Wasn't already taking people away, bringing them here, and experimenting with them hurtful enough?

She kept herself towards the back. She didn't know who this Catherine guy was, really...but from how she heard everyone else talk about him, she wasn't sure if it'd be right to turn him over, even if they did find him. She didn't trust the Malnosso one bit.

She noticed a stranger close to where she was standing, keeping to himself in the corner, much like she was. She only knew him by face, having caught his posts and seeing him around here and there. Maybe he knew more. She spoke up. ]

I wonder how this will turn out.

[He gives a sidelong glance to the girl next to him. To tell her the truth, he is just as curious with just as little knowledge as her. But he is unaware of her similarities and just addresses his biggest concern.]

They better not come to the village.

[allseeingdeath]

[ A slight frown crosses her face. She whole heartedly agreed. ]

Yeah.

[ She narrowed her eyes, leaning back slightly. It wasn't a foreign feeling to her, the desire to protect. She had that back home as well. But she was stronger there. Her eyes wouldn't work, no matter how hard she tried, and that just made everything that much harder.

But she knew she would still fight. All the friends she had made. All the victims to their experiments she met. She had a reason to, right? ]

I won't let them hurt anyone. I'm sick of them already.

[tailasoldastime]

[A thoughtful but firm "Hm" comes with him and his voice deepens, thinly concealing his anger.]

Neither will I. They have hurt me... hurt us enough.

[allseeingdeath]

[ She just nods. ]

Do you know who this Catherine is?

[tailasoldastime]

[... Sigh. He wishes he knew.] No. I only know... what I have heard here.

[allseeingdeath]

Hm. [ She nodded. ] Same.

But if he's not for them...then that's as good as being for us.

[tailasoldastime]

Yes.

[...]

... And that is why I don't want them to find him.

[allseeingdeath]

They won't. Not without a fight. [ She pauses. ]

I'm Shiki.

[tailasoldastime]

But I will fight them back. [And then he pauses after she introduces herself.] ... I... I'm Beast.

[allseeingdeath]

[ She gives him another nod. ] There's still so many people I don't know here. It's weird...that I want to fight for this place already.

[tailasoldastime]

Hm. [Said thoughtfully... nine months here and he still doesn't know many people. But thinking about the alternative stirs that hardened tone again.] It's... better than fighting for them.

'Allo, mate. What think you of all this?

[Jack approaches Beast and plunks himself down beside him, bottle of rum in hand. Since the other man is cloaked, Jack doesn't notice that he is, in fact, a horrible terrifying beast-man.]

[... Who is this man? What's with the strange hat? ... Oh well.]

... I think we shouldn't give Catherine to the Malnosso.

It'd be a damned dirty deed if we did, mate. A damned dirty black-hearted deed.

[tailasoldastime]

It'd be... [... What did he say again?] ... that... too... if they came here.

[all7seas]

Aye. But if you want my opinion, they're coming here whether we give him or no. They're coming.

[tailasoldastime]

[... He was hoping he wouldn't say that.] I know.

So, what's your name, mate? [Wow. This guy is BIG. and...a little oddly-shaped...]

[He cocks his eyebrow, even if Jack can't see him do it.] A what sort of name?

"Beast." Why'd they nickname you that, eh? Messy eater?

[A very soft hmph is heard from him. Then a pause. ... Then he slowly turns his head towards Jack, revealing his lion-like face.]
