[A Town Meeting for how to handle the situation. No doubt people will come and speak up about things in turn. Despite the fact that I'm posting with Scorpius he's obviously not the one organizing it. There's an OOC Plotting Post here.

This post will have two subthreads mostly for quick and easy organizational purposes - one to put aside the proposing of ideas or questions, ICly (if you want to not write out the whole thing ICly you could just put up an OOC description of what they're doing. and then a second for mingling which isn't necessarily publicly proposing some big idea or question

[So after the announcement from Law... Scorpius decided he was going to be the first one there. He'd be there to misdirect (or assist in doing so) if it looked like it was going to be something they needed to do in terms of moving out of this location to any other and he could see who arrives when and how. So... he slept at the Barracks that night and awoke in the morning to wait there. Meditating a bit.

When the meeting is actually going on the imposing 6' bondage creeper is mostly lurking. chatting up people who look like they know what they're doing and making ready to second any ideas that seem prudent. Propose some if it looks like there's a chance to get some intelligent ones out there. Listening carefully to try to work out where Catherine is. Mostly, he's weighing if he should throw in with a plan here, or make one himself.

Naturally anyone can notice him/chat him up. Or be intimidated. Or both.]

[ Yuri has just been sitting here in the back, listening actually. Not contributing, but making sure that she paid careful attention to the whole thing. She's still sitting toward the end, alone. With her feet up on another chair in front of her. ]

[More than anything, Beast's presence is here to prove his support for the village instead of the Malnosso. He may speak up if he feels he can add something, but mostly he will be huddled in a corner wrapped up in his cloak listening intently.]

[ Lestrade expects that today is a day to make a point of turning up a bit early for- any ultimatum of this sort can only mean serious business, and he's not going to assume he understands half of what's going on around all of it. He'll arrive with time to spare and get a look at who all decided to come in for this meeting, offering nods and greetings here and there, trying to gauge the general mood, pass the time. Maybe he can get to see some bits on what people have to say before everybody's trying to say it at once.

He doesn't know. All he knows is that he's turned up and why he's turned up. ]

[At least it isn't too early in the morning after a long night like that. Haruhi's here to make sure the facts are straight and listen to the ideas presented. If she or anyone in her Brigade can help she can volunteer it. To be honest she expects people to think she's being silly so she once more tries to dress a bit older, but...

[After an awkward dinner and a mostly sleepless night following the discussion with Law, Adele has made a point of arriving early. It was an entirely different situation than the last meeting that had been arranged; this held a sense of greater urgency. They only had so much time after all. Five days left for them to decide what to do, and no real way of knowing if anything would work.

She's quieter this morning, reserved in her speech and gestures, predominantly deep in though or taking notes in a slim journal as she had for the last meeting. Marking down questions, ideas, individuals that it would be prudent to speak with afterward.]

[Smoker's opinion-less on this. If anything, he's actually more curious to how Luceti itself reacts. So he'll be scowling in the background, smoking, and quiet as hell. He can be approached, but he won't speak up otherwise.]

[Lupin arrives early to the meeting that morning, the meeting with Law and the others weighing heavily on his mind. Though he's as clean-cut and poised as always, those who know him will be able to tell that it's a front; he hasn't slept all night, his mind is whirling with the possibilities.

Those who know him well will be able to tell that he's armed with more than just his Walther P-38. The gift from Luke Skywalker from the night before, his Bryar pistol from his false but clearly remembered lifetime, is also hidden underneath his green suit jacket.]

[Grune has missed just about everything that's happened over the last twenty-four hours. The only reason she's here at all is, when she saw everyone coming to the meeting...she thought they were all going to the beach.

She wanders about the barracks in a state of confusion, gradually growing more and more concerned. No one seems very happy right now. They don't seem ready to have fun together at all. Is something the matter?]

[ Having been here less then a month it's not like Hyoga has any opinion and he's not in a rush to form one but he's also not just going to ignore what's happening. So he's just going to find himself the quietest corner possible and stand there and listen. And hopefully leave without having to talk to anyone. ]

[Firo's not contributing to the meeting much- he leaves plans and thinking things through to other people. He doesn't even know what he'd want to happen to Catherine. On the one hand, he'd love to spit in the face of the Malnosso by not cooperating. On the other, he's anxious about what the "consequences" would mean for his friends.

For now, he's just hanging back and listening. He wants to know what's going on and, just as important, make sure that nobody here looks like they'll try to exploit this situation for gain at the expense of the rest of them.]

[Jay attends the meeting to do his own reconnaissance. Of course he's not going to contribute anything, because he's given up on trying to organize anything with these people long ago. But he can form his own plans that involve just himself, or a select few that he does trust...]

[Saleh isn't sure how to handle a situation such as this, but he hopes the meeting will give him some ideas. So the sage will be here, perhaps looking for people he knows, or just anywhere he can fit in. He wouldn't feel comfortable trying to protect Catherine directly, but he would offer support to the fighters, should it come to a full-scale battle.]

[After his discussion with Adele, Lupin, and Law the night before Luke Skywalker cannot help but be here. He was duty bound to help his friends in any way that he possibly good. He arrives early, and politely waits on everyone else to speak. He doesn't have a lot of ideas that haven't already been voiced.

He'll chat, share opinions, and offer support however he can. For now, he's looking out a window at the morning and silently wishing that Han were here. He'd know what to do...]

[Rei makes it a point to wake up early and attend the meeting. She's got her afternoon blocked off for her own broadcast, but she wouldn't be caught dead missing something as important as this meeting, even if the others didn't go. They'd need someone to take notes. She does just that, a pen flying across a page whenever anyone makes an important point.

She sits quietly, not really chiming in her own opinions as she feels woefully underinformed. She's worried, but she'll help however she can.

Feel free to prod at her if you like, she'll probably be more talkative 1 on 1 or in small groups, but not in a crowd]

[ Ryoji was dragged here by Minato, and mostly he's been just quietly listening in. He seems pretty uncertain about something and keeps looking over at the group that's volunteering as a defensive force against whatever the Malnosso send at them. Unusually, he doesn't seem twitchy and he doesn't seem to be bouncing around to talk to everyone. Rather, he seems to be having some sort of debate with himself... ]

[Considering Draco's size, he's parked himself outside of the barracks and is, instead, listening to the meeting at an open window. Adele's visit with the ill tidings that the Malnosso had issued to the village was enough to get him to venture back down out of the mountains, this time with less crashing. If the threat was going to encompass the entire enclosure, it was just as much his problem as anyone else's.]

[Yeeeah. There are a good number here, and a good number he's been keeping an eye on.

And he can't help but frown at it all. This is necessary for the town, he agreed to do it, and there will be good ideas. But. He knows full well that a) The Malnosso are aware of this (can't hide a bunch of barcodes moving to one place and honestly the Malnosso aren't stupid) and b) even though a structure is man-made, it doesn't mean they can't monitor it. Given they possess the power of mad-godlings.

And the Malnosso aren't the only problem. There are more people like Clove in the village. Problems without, problems within.

So Law drifts in. The head doctor looks like he's in a fairly somber and pensive mood.]

[Vash will be standing quiet during the meeting. Soaking it all in. He's not very talkative right now, but for anyone who walks up to him he'll have a happy smile for.

Until then he'll be quietly thinking over everything said. Anyone is free to approach the gunman, but he won't be likely approaching anyone himself just yet.]

[Brennan had seen the message, read the resulting conversations. When the advertisement had appeared for a town meeting, she saw little reason not to go. Even if she had little to contribute, it would be a good chance to observe these interactions in person.

[Gregor didn't say a lot during the discussion--mostly, a word or two to support or shake something up. Before and after, though, he can be seen snooping through the barracks, peering at any potentially glossy surfaces, nooks and crannies, as if checking for bugs. Which is exactly what he's doing.]

[Rogue's just here. Listening. Much as she had in the other town meeting. She picks a spot with plenty of space around it, but she wasn't guarding it as closely as she could be.]

After I'd said my piece on the magical front and offered my support to Tony, I figured there wasn't a whole lot else for me to do, but I stuck around anyway, in case anybody had any ideas they wanted to share with me- or favors they wanted to ask. Mostly, though, I tried to listen in- eavesdrop, I guess- looking for anything that maybe I had an idea of how to work with.
