[A Town Meeting for how to handle the situation. No doubt people will come and speak up about things in turn. Despite the fact that I'm posting with Scorpius he's obviously not the one organizing it. There's an OOC Plotting Post here.

This post will have two subthreads mostly for quick and easy organizational purposes - one to put aside the proposing of ideas or questions, ICly (if you want to not write out the whole thing ICly you could just put up an OOC description of what they're doing. and then a second for mingling which isn't necessarily publicly proposing some big idea or question

[Jay attends the meeting to do his own reconnaissance. Of course he's not going to contribute anything, because he's given up on trying to organize anything with these people long ago. But he can form his own plans that involve just himself, or a select few that he does trust...]

What are your thoughts on this matter, Jay? Its been a while, since we last spoke. My apologies for that.

It's all right. I tend to not speak very much.

To be honest, I'm not very fond of this Catherine, but I'm not about to fall for those Malnosso's demands either. So I'm ready to fight.

I think you're right. We don't have much in the way of resources, but since we have him, and they want him, that gives us an advantage in some ways.

There is the question of why they don't just take him like they usually take any of us.

On the other hand, they may just be testing us. They tend to do that a lot.

Maybe they don't know where he is, or maybe Catherine has some sort of way to avoid the Droids that we don't have.

Even still, if it is a test, wouldn't it be worth fighting back to prove a point?

It is possible. They track us down easily enough, likely with the barcodes on our necks. Catherine must not have one.

Fighting back? I'm sure many of us are ready for that. This could be one of our rare opportunities to do so.

[And he's looking forward to that a lot.]

True enough. Are you ready for that eventuality, Jay? I think most of us are prepared to fully commit to the battle, though I've heard some murmurs against it.

[Luke feels the exact same way]

I've been ready since I arrived here two and a half years ago.

Its good to know we're on the same page. Do you have any thoughts on what we should be doing to keep Bil from them?

Hmm...aside from keeping his location a secret from everyone except perhaps a very small handful of people strong enough to protect him...

It might be possible to use some sort of decoy to throw them off course even further...

[Yes, Jay loves his decoys. Too bad Moses isn't here to serve as that decoy. Then again, he'd make a poor decoy for this situation anyway.]

That is an excellent idea. Have you proposed this to the group at large? I definitely agree that Catherine's location should be kept a secret. I do think its a good idea though. We've got quite a few excellent spies and rogues who could pull it off.

I haven't. Perhaps you could bring it up, though. I try to keep a low profile here.

Perhaps I will. Its a good idea. Do you have any ideas on where to place the decoy?

Perhaps the barracks or the mountains.

Both are reasonable, yes. We can make a show out of it too. Maybe even use more than one decoy. Just to throw them off even more.

It does seem like we have a brilliant strategy coming together.

Perhaps we should bring this to Doctor Law's attention, together? I'm not terribly good with covert plans, and he seems to be the one with the most information.

[As he says this, Luke reaches out with the Force, trying to gauge Jay's reaction. What is this mysterious man feeling?]

[Jay's feelings are...complex. Sure, this was his job back home, but he just hasn't had a reason to do it here. He's not too eager to get involved with the crowd anymore, but he's not seeing much reason to back down either. Serious trust issues are serious. And he's not too thrilled at the idea of anyone else having more information than he does.]

If you don't feel comfortable, I can address him on my own, Jay. That isn't a problem.

[He can feel your unease, and is trying to be kind...]

[He doesn't take the hand offered to him just yet. He might respect you on a professional level, but he's not going to trust you just because you say he can.]
