But no really. The draftees are in space. The mod post about it is here, so familiarize yourself with the details. This log is for general interactions, where you can tag around as your characters familiarize themselves with the ship, look out the windows, try on their space suits, and run simulations for the Tyr-Fighters. (Among other things.)

Specialist Davis can be encountered and will have a thread available on the log to talk to him on.

[The very first thing Haruhi does when she arrives on the ship... is throw up. CJ had warned her that direct shifting her from the ship she was on in the barrier to this one would be hard, but she did not expect it to feel like her stomach did a flip, so she gets to her knees and vomits right on the floor when she first gets on board.

...Probably to the frustration of whoever needs to clean that. Oh well. Not her problem. She gets up, and wearing these nifty space suits heads out to claim an empty room (which means any three people can be her roomies? First come first serve? idek) and check out her supplies. Put some clothes on over her suit so she looks less silly.

And then she's off to both explore the ship and find everyone who she ought to find for this draft. Top on the list is Kyon, Rhyme, Minato, and Shiki, but there's others she really wouldn't mind seeing. She doesn't yet know what she's going to do. The scale here is too much for her to be a practical force to help anything cooking or what not, and she'll likely figure out what she's going to do once they make moonfall]

[Minato is ~~one of the roommates~~ not too hard to find. The blue hair sticks out from the dull grey of the spacesuit. He's sitting in a corner of the mess hall, trying to eat something and wishing he'd brought his music along. He already needs a distraction.]

[Good. then she'll just sit down right in front of him and-]

Are you in some combat group?

[So direct, Haruhi.]

Not yet.

Good, then you're with me.

You're making a team?

Yeah, I am. I don't know for what yet, but I've got three people who are my responsibility and know fighters.

[huh...] Who's your responsibility?

Shiki, Rhyme, and Kyon.

[....yep.]

I'll help.

[She closes her eyes and makes a pointed exhale] ...Good. Thanks.

No problem.

[He'd have helped whether she asked or not - but she probably knows that.] Any plans so far?

I'm considering just exploring the moon base, getting a feel for what's in there... but with Rhyme, I can't go to the restricted areas in good faith. It might be pointless.

[Kyon can be found trying on his own space suit, without the foresight of putting clothes over it. It looks more than a little ridiculous, and he knows it, but that's nothing all that new. Between occasionally attempting to make it less silly-looking, and looking for a viewport of some kind, he's pretty much occupied.

'Plus, I figure Haruhi's going to chase me down any second now, so might as well hold still.']

[Oh and she will. From the front, she turns a corner and- there, finally, Kyon. wow this is so silly]

You didn't put clothes on?

['How do I explain that I woke up late and... well, the less said, the better for my dignity?']

Hey to you too, Haruhi. Is it that bad?

It looks pretty ridiculous, yeah.

Well, nothing to be done about it now.

...Sure, whatever. Look, you're with me.

[Tapping his chest]

You're not assembling a war squad, are you?

What, with a team of four non-combatants? Of course not. But I've got responsibilities.

Four? Is that including you?

['As it better.']

What's the special-ops team responsibilities, then?

Do I look like a soldier, Kyon? [She waves a hand] I'm responsible for Rhyme and Shiki, and you're coming too. As for what we're doing, I'm not sure yet.

Well, maybe. You have been doing all that magic stuff.

['Not that it isn't awkward to mention magic when we, or "we", were getting up to "magic" together during the experiment. Which now sounds dirtier than I ever meant it to.']

Plus, I seem to recall your tactical strategy of "all ships attack."
