Summary: The Art Club is having it's first meeting! Come meet your fellow artists, make some friends, and create some art.

The first ever meeting of the Luceti Art Club has Rapunzel a teensy bit nervous, but she's determined to make things a success and lots of fun for everyone. Even with the rainy morning, she's ready to adapt. She sends out a general message on the journal as a reminder of the meeting that day for everyone in town, including a note about a shift in location to the school on account of inclement weather.

Today's meeting will be composed of two sections:

First, a meet and greet. After introducing herself and saying a few words about the club, Rapunzel will leave the first half-hour of the meeting for people to socialize and get to know one another. If she sees someone standing alone, she will certainly steer them toward a conversation. After all, making friends is one of the top goals of this club! Rapunzel will also be dodging outside to catch stragglers and make sure anyone passing by knows what's going on.

Second, paper and crayons--yes, crayons--will provided for each participant. Rapunzel will then instruct them to close their eyes and imagine something unreal, and to trace whatever it is onto the paper with their eyes closed. Once they have, they can open their eyes and color the rest of it however they want! And then they can share said artistic creations with those around them. Sharing is caring. And also learning, in this case.

Before, during, and after the meeting, there will be refreshments provided, baked by Rapunzel herself. These refreshments include (but are not limited to): pastries, brownies, cookies, pies, breads, and tarts. There will also be pitchers of lemonade and plastic cups. Eat up and enjoy!

And remember, there are no mistakes, just happy accidents.

[A lady with blue hair tied up in a loose bun with a paper flower pinned to it is keeping to herself rather than mingling socially, but she did manage to make it to the art club meeting after all.

She's mildly surprised at the length of Rapunzel's hair, but doesn't comment on it.]

[And when Rapunzel spots her not socializing, she immediately makes a beeline for her.]

Hello! Welcome to the club! And what's your name?

Konan. Thank you for the welcome.

[Konan is mainly here to see what everyone else does. She hasn't been someone to open herself up to others and be sociable for years, now. But without her obligations from home, perhaps it's time to change that. She's taking a small step forward by being here.]

Of course! It's wonderful to have you here. Have you been in Luceti long?

Just a little over a week. The wings took some getting used to.

[Particularly since she'd initially thought it was the afterlife. Running into her dead teacher hadn't really helped that line of thought, either.]

Might I have your name?

Yes, they do...but they're beautiful, don't you think?

[She knows a lot of people dislike the wings. But her? She thinks they're wonderful.]

Oh--! I'm sorry. I'm Rapunzel! Co-founder of the art club.

They are rather beautiful, yes.

[Mildly annoying for accomodating with appropriate clothing, but she's certain she'll be able to come up with something.]

Ah, we spoke over the journals about the art club before.

Really? We did? [She thinks this through for a second, before--] Are you the person who talked about making origami?

That was me.

[She has an origami swan nearby, sitting on a table. It's fairly elaborate.]

Are any of your paintings here?

Oh, wonderful!

[She nods towards the front of the room, where her messenger bag is lying.] I do have a few watercolors with me--would you like to see them?

If you are willing to show them to me, I would like to see them.

[Being here is difficult to adjust to, but it does mean having more time to appreciate beauty. If anything, it's a reminder to Konan that there are things that need to be protected.]

[She nods, waving for Konan to follow her.]

Of course! I'd love to share them.

[Konan dutifully follows after Rapunzel, curious to see what kind of paintings the girl has done.]

[Rapunzel opens her bag and extracts a few of the paintings--they're small watercolors, and mostly landscapes around Luceti. The sunset from the roof, the view of the village from cherry blossom hill, the lake.]

The nature around here is so pretty. I just had to paint some of it.

[Konan takes a look through the paintings, eyes taking in all of the details captured on each.]

These are quite well done. I recognize these places.

[The thing she spent the most time doing in her first week here was just exploring and information gathering.]

[She beams at the compliment.]

Thank you! I think the land around us is one of the best parts about Luceti. It really is beautiful.

It is quite beautiful here, I agree.

[The information about the Malnosso is a little concerning, but she's not here to share negative thoughts.]

There was far less sunlight where I lived. I lived in a very rainy place.

Really? [She tries to picture it--a place with little sunshine. It does sound a little disheartening.] Did you like it there?

It was home.

[Rain has never bothered her, really. It comes with growing up in a place where sunny days were rare.]

My friend used to call our home a crybaby.

[She offers a slightly amused smile at that.]

But he'd say it with a smile.

[She giggles a bit at that. It's a nice sentiment.]

Is it strange to be here, then? Where it's sunny so often?

It's...less strange if I consider Luceti a place I'm visiting rather than living in.

[She's just not even going to touch on the fact that she technically shouldn't be alive. If she gets a second chance at life, or gets a bizarre but not horrible afterlife, that's fine with her.]

[Rapunzel doesn't think about that much herself. To her, Luceti was home...if only a temporary home. But she tended not to quantify her life by time. She simply did what she wanted to do, and tried not to worry.]

A lot of people do come and go...but some people have been here for years.

I suppose to people who have been here that long, it would start to feel like home.

[Years. She's not sure if she likes the idea of being here for years, but she supposes it's better than the alternative of being dead.]

Mmhmm. I've been here for six months, and it even feels that way to me, too.

So you enjoy your time here, for the most part?

[She's still a little skeptical of this place, largely because of the mention of experiments.]
