Pinkie's New Feather Party: The Masquerade Ball!

The night is finally here! Pinkie Pie and friends have been working hard to get everything absolutely perfect. The Battle Dome has been done up to look like a grand ballroom, complete with dance hall and dining area. A small, but elegantly decorated stage is situated in the middle of the dance hall, and is equipped with microphones and speakers for anyone willing to perform. Otherwise, the dome is set up to play songs on request.

The dining area is equipped with a buffet-style dinner selection, filled with food contributed by various donators, highlighted by a large cake at the central table, which is then surrounded by smaller tarts, pies and pastries. Wine, champagne, and other choice drinks are available from ice chests near the buffet line.

Finally, since it was so popular with the last party, the night will be ended with a fireworks display over the dome. Afterwards, Pinkie Pie will be going around making sure everyone gets home safely, before returning to the dome to start cleaning up.

Note: Like Pinkie's last party, this one has a theme: a Masquerade Ball. Everyone who enters must wear a mask, and keep it on for the entirety of the party. If you haven't picked one out yourself, Pinkie would be more than happy to provide one for you.

Okay, dancing isn't really Terra's thing. He's not really against it, but...it's not his thing. So in typical wallflower fashion, he's right there, against the wall with a white mask on his face. Care to drag him out on to the floor?

[breezing]

[ Absolutely she does! Ikki is on the lookout for wallflowers, and after locking on to one she approaches. So have a seven-year-old girl in a dress with a cat mask. ]

Hey, mister! D'you wanna dance?

[ probably not the invitation he wasn't expecting, but yep ]

Well...uhh...

(Ah...see, that poses a problem. He doesn't really want to dance, but he can't exactly say no to such a cute kid. Uhh...)

I...can't really...dance, though. Not really.

[breezing]

That's fine, that's fineeee! I can teach you!

[ and by "teach" she means make up the moves because who cares ]

A special one of a kind dance from the cat kingdom! It'll be fun!

(Sounds totally childish, but he's not so cold to say no. After a moment's thought...)

Yep! I'm Princess Ikki from the Cat Kingdom!

[ FOR TONIGHT anyway. ]

You won't regret it, mister!! [ She's offering him her hand now. Come, Terra. Come away to the magical land of ~dance~! ]

(No affiliated kingdoms, but that's cool. He's more a mercenary type, anyway.)

Uhh...alright. Let's go. (He'll take that hand and reluctantly go along with things. He is so unsure of how poorly this will turn out, but oh well he'll have to deal with it.)

[breezing]

- as in Ventus' Terra? [ Momentary distraction!

But she does take his hand and begins to haul him out towards the dance floor, cheerfully propelling them along. ]

(Yeah, Terra's not filled with anywhere near as much cheer, but he's going along with it. That's close enough, right?)

...yeah. You're friends with Ven? (This is important because Ventus = Terra's metaphorical little bro.)

[breezing]

[ Terra earns a huge grin when that's confirmed. Ventus has mentioned Aqua and Terra to her before. ]

Yeah! He's my big brother here. [ By declaration of adoption, so. ]

That so? (That gets him to smile a bit.)

Ven's been like a little brother to me for a long time. It's good to hear he's made a lot of friends.

(So this would make Terra your big big brother. Kinda.)

So I guess you're my brother, too, then!

And yep! Ven's been here a while, so he knows lots of people.
