Pinkie's New Feather Party: The Masquerade Ball!

The night is finally here! Pinkie Pie and friends have been working hard to get everything absolutely perfect. The Battle Dome has been done up to look like a grand ballroom, complete with dance hall and dining area. A small, but elegantly decorated stage is situated in the middle of the dance hall, and is equipped with microphones and speakers for anyone willing to perform. Otherwise, the dome is set up to play songs on request.

The dining area is equipped with a buffet-style dinner selection, filled with food contributed by various donators, highlighted by a large cake at the central table, which is then surrounded by smaller tarts, pies and pastries. Wine, champagne, and other choice drinks are available from ice chests near the buffet line.

Finally, since it was so popular with the last party, the night will be ended with a fireworks display over the dome. Afterwards, Pinkie Pie will be going around making sure everyone gets home safely, before returning to the dome to start cleaning up.

Note: Like Pinkie's last party, this one has a theme: a Masquerade Ball. Everyone who enters must wear a mask, and keep it on for the entirety of the party. If you haven't picked one out yourself, Pinkie would be more than happy to provide one for you.

[It's not that hard to distinguish Korra. Once Aang's ready to head over to the buffet, he quickly finds her and giggles at her eating habits, lifting up his own mask to address her.]

Hey Korra! Do you have any recommendations?

Some of the desserts are really sweet, but- [she stuffs the remainder of the sticky bun in her mouth, and talks with it full] the soft pretzels are really good.

Really? [He manages to grab a less salty one and takes a bite, then talks with his own mouth full.] You're right, it's delicious!

You think we could find this kind of stuff in the grocery store too?

I know they have some snacks like this... we should check sometime!

Definitely! We totally need more food in the house.

Then loading up from the grocery store is the right idea. Who does take care of food in your house, anyway? [Or, how do you crazy teens survive without a Katara?]

We just... keep it simple?

Oh. [He chuckles.] Whatever works! I try to do some simple things myself, sometimes. I think I'm pretty good at air nomad dishes!

There's... not a lot of actual cooking in our house.

I guess you guys eat out a lot, then.

Hey, that's not bad! ...Is it?

Oh no, nothing at all! As long as you guys eat. But maybe I can try to teach you what I know sometime! I'm just not that good myself, so far.

We're learning some stuff from Katara, but it's hard!

Oh, right. She's the real master in that area. But I'm sure you'll get it eventually, Korra! [He looks over a plate of pigs-in-a-blankets, trying to spot any tofu variants.] Maybe that's a block we both got. But it's been getting a little easier since I started trying to remake air nomad dishes.

That's great and all, but I need to eat something with some meat in it.

Oh, r-right. [You carnivorous next life, you.] Well I wouldn't be mad if you just sprinkled some bits of meat into what you make for yourself? ...Or just stick with Katara.

I think I'll stick with Katara. She makes a pretty mean noodle soup.

Mmm, can't argue with that! And you can't forget her stir fry too. I bet it's still real tasty for you even with meat instead of tofu.

[His mouth is pretty much watering now, losing his appetite for these snacks in favor of real food. Too bad he'll have to wait until tomorrow for another home-cooked meal.]

Yeah, I could go for some of that right now.

I know! Part of me almost wants to see if Katara can take us back to make some real quick. [He shakes his head.] But she needs this break.

Yeah, I mean... all of us depending on her must be hard I guess.

[She only ever thought about it... well, now.]

We kinda do. I mean... all of try to help out with everything around the house, but she's still the best at cooking and cleaning for everyone so she winds up doing the most work. So it's good that she has times like this to just have fun.

This is supposed to be fun, right? So maybe we should stop talking about this.

You find anything you really liked on the table?

Right. We should all be having fun.

And... here, put this in your mouth. [He slides over an egg tart.]
