It had been an unusually warm day for October. Dark clouds loomed in the day and had been accompanied by strong winds. A strange green aura tinted the clouds in the west before it finally happened. It was loud. Deafeningly loud for those near it, like a freight train hurling itself through the sky. Dust and debris whipped up inside it and anything not securely fastened was pulled towards it, sometimes right off the ground. A tornado had formed in Luceti and it was moving fast. Faster than a person could run or follow.

The smart people would be staying inside. The not so smart? Hopefully they could handle it.

[Aang is patrolling around on his glider when he sees Loki on the roof of the stables. That's really unusual and dangerous, even possibly for a god. He comes to land atop the stable and quickly retracts his glider into staff form.]

Loki! What are you doing?

[Loki looks up, blinking and then squinting. Everything looks a bit strange and washed-out from all of the feedback.

He suddenly grins. He's never been able to tap even indirectly into the energy of a storm, and what Saori is feeding through to him is chaos at its best, the sort of energy that is fundamental to him.]

Oh, hello Aang! Ah, that's right, Ikki said you were out and about. Is this the sort of thing air benders do?

[He's even speaking a bit faster than normal.]

Just holding up a shield. I must do something with all this power, you see. Oh but it's lovely.

[This is definitely an odd sight. Has Loki been hitting some cactus juice?]

H-hey. Not always, but sometimes to have fun when we're skilled. You're doing a... shield? Are you okay?

[complicatedliar]

Oh, so is that why you are flying about like that? It does look rather fun. I've never been much for flying myself, since it's magically a bit tricky and hasn't seemed all that worth it lately. But perhaps I ought to try in here at some point. Though not right now, I've things to do.

[Flying. Oh, he feels like he's flying right now, even with his feet planted on the roof. Maybe he ought to do that to get rid of a bit more energy. Thinking about it, he begins to float a bit, just to try it out. But there was something else... yes.]

...right, the shield. Yes. I've a shield over the stables and have the horses sleeping, the poor beasts were getting a bit frightened you see. But Saori's feeding me so much energy, it's a bit more than I bargained for really so I thought I might as well put a shield over the community housing building, because it would be simply disgusting if my brain melted and dribbled out my ear.

[Maybe he's just been hanging out with Ikki too much.]

Saori's helping you? Wow. That's... that's really great, I was about to make sure the horses were okay. I'm... glad you're enjoying yourself?

Well 'tis really more that I'm helping her since all that energy must go somewhere you see and the lady doesn't want to go all awful and feral and snarly again. And we wouldn't want that, no.

[He grins.]

The horses are just fine! So you needn't worry, but thank you for thinking of them. People so rarely consider the poor beasts, and it isn't as if they've ever harmed anyone.

[Awful and feral and snarly. But Loki's instead giddy and bizarre? It doesn't exactly sit right with Aang. But he's glad that whatever this weird thing is, it seems to be working for the better.]

That's true. I'm glad someone's looking out for them.

I rather like horses, and it isn't as if Greg can do much more than hide in the bathroom at the moment. [Loki grins.] So is a tornado fun for an airbender? I wondered.

It... it is actually! It's dangerous, but it's a real fun thrill, too! It's not something all airbenders do, though. I've just always liked stuff like this!

[complicatedliar]

Ah, but 'tis the danger that spices the fun! [Loki grins.] A special sort of airbender then.

I don't know if I'd say special, but I do have a lot more fun doing dangerous things than other airbenders!
