Effie never went to bed on Thursday night. She knew, by now, that Jack Horner was gone. Vanished. Not in Luceti anymore. At least, that was what she gathered after extensive questioning and the realization that all of his things were gone. Effie found herself alone in an apartment that did not feel anything like home. Maybe she would move out. Maybe she had to move on, now.

She kept busy on Thursday drinking wine. Lots of wine.

At midnight, she stumbled to the fountain in the center of town, semi-sober and dressed in typical Capitalista fashion. There were supposed to be bodyguards here. And fellow participants, to be sure. Hopefully no one will cause TOO much trouble.

Jack sat cross-legged on the quiet lakeshore, carefully coiling a line with expert hands. He'd all too recently inhabited the body of his younger self. It was heartening to know that he'd only gotten better over the years at practically everything. Was there a point when a body started going downhill? A certain age, perhaps? Or a series of events that led up to such a point? Jack wasn't sure. Most people he knew died young of unspeakable, horrible causes.

He glanced up from his work to look for Buffy. Most die young from unspeakable things. "Annie?"

Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you.
